And the planets he visited were nowhere near even five times the size of Earth, so he was always dealing with less than 5 G.

However, his potential is lower than Goku's. His body is simply not up to the task.

If anything, he trains HARDER than Goku, yet is always left behind by him.


However, the point is we don't know how long it took him, so we can't really flat out classify him all that much.

Agreed. I never doubted him getting there. And I know he got even further. But people simply can't use an example of a future version to support the older versions strength, unless it were a correlation.
