Venom Venom: The Last Dance

Lies. :o

Just kidding, appreciate your review, Vile. I'm going into this expecting stupid braindead fun like the last two.

Understandable. There are some fun moments with Eddie and Venom, but it veers even more to the braindead side.

If I get to see this it'll probably be in the second weekend, not opening weekend. gotta keep my head down for a little while once we get to Friday!

I cannot get on board with Kraven. It just looks terrible in the Morbius way
Feel like people may only check it out because it has R rating. It has had so many delays and I don't think Kraven needs a movie that will try to make him sympathetic.

Didn't watch the 1st in theaters. I only watched it once I found out Carnage was in the 2nd.
Watched 2nd in theaters and was disappointed.
I will probably wait for stream for this one which maybe fast if it bombs. I just don't know anything about Knull, too new age for me to know.

I saw this in the afternoon. And it was horrible.

The best thing about seeing it, was the cinema that I always go, got a renovation and the screen looked really good. I think its the best cinema I've ever been, though I don't like the chair. I also paid eXtra because the sound was Atmos.

On the plus side, it's the last Venom movie, probably.

Hopefully!
the movie started with Knull, well the movie basically a long prelude to Knull. He sent some nameless creature to get the aura of Venom. With other symbiotes helping Eddie and Venom. The whole movie was just really random, except for the part, they made Eddie and Venom part ways.

all the other new human characters were random too, as I wasn't sure if they were portraying somèone from the comics or not.

I am placing this solidly at #2 of the trilogy, after Carnage, and before the first movie. Greatly enjoyed this movie. Some fun new symbiote designs and action in this one.

Stupid and fun. Everything I was hoping for.

It's clear to me what's happening is Spider-Man is going to bond with the piece of Venom from NWH. Therefore Venom isn't dead. I hope Eddie gets worked into the plot again for act 3 if this is what they do, but I think that's the direction they're going.

Ya know what. I had fun.

I also grew up reading 80% of all the 90s Venom limited series, so I dug all the references. Sprinkle a bit of Donny Cates' stuff in and it makes even the B plot of this movie is less painful for me. That said anyone who doesn't really know anything of the symbiote stuff from the comics will absolutely dislike the B plot. This movie really shares that shlocky quality of those 90s limited series let me tell you, only that Venom is even goofier than in the comics.

Screw it. If they're going that direction, yeah, I say bring Tom Hardy in. His goofy incarnation of the character fits the MCU like a glove. I know folks groan at the thought of it, but hey people wanted Wolverine recast for the MCU, people rolled their eyes when Jamie Foxx boarded NWH, and the general audience never realized how great Andrew Garfield was as Spider-man until he joined the MCU. And they worked big time. Hopefully Hardy's style works with the MCU too.

I aint gonna lie I wanted Daredevil and Kingpin and such for SM4.

Part of me finds the Knull character boring and the multiverse threat eye rolling. But that said, the 2 Tom's would be a joy to watch. So I think it would at least end up entertaining

There are bits and pieces in this movie that makes me think Eddie won't quite show up in Spidey 4, but I think that they are going to stretch out Knull a bit

I am not sure how long they're going to stretch Knull out for. My guess is most of the movie is Spider-Man and Venom with no Eddie. But somehow Eddie ends up on the finale. Maybe he ports on from one of Knull's ports of he sends creatures to multiple realities. Then finale, Spider-Man and Venom back with Eddie team up. That's my current prediction. Hardy still be that movie's Tobey/ Andrew surprise

Early WOM from audiences doesn't appear to be great so far. We'll see.
