Venom Venom: The Last Dance

There is no chance in hell of the Venom movies ever crossing over with the mainline Spider-Man films. Kevin Feige clearly hates these movies and wants nothing to do with them and will not allow them to touch the MCU.

Can Sony Pictures even use Spider-Man in a movie at all without Marvel/Disney's input or involvement?

Explain to me how Guardians or Deadpool can have respectful final chapters in their respective trilogies yet a much more well-known character like Venom is denied that?

Kevin needs hits. Teaming up Spider-man seems to produce hits. This movie, even if it isn't as big as the other two, still has a good chance of doing better than Marvel's next few movies.

This movie won't bomb, It will be a hit. It's just a matter of what kind of a 'hit' it'll be qualified as. It won't reach the first film's level which is a certifiable hit. This looks to be in the middling success to decent hit range.

All evidence points to Marvel Studios has an exclusive license for Spider-Man in live action. But that doesn't mean Marvel won't do this Knull thing. Clearly Knull is being positioned for something major. SM4 makes the most sense given recent rumors and trends.

Its tough to know what creative decisions/ demands are made by which studio, but I'm not sure Feige cares or possibly even likes Spider-Man enough to actually put him in a film without some sort of team-up. Iron Man, Shield, Spider-Man³. Does he get the character is fundamentally an anti-establishment loner and not some Avengers lackey?

There was hope after NWH we'd be going back to the foundational roots, but since that point he's done his best to run the MCU into the ground. So, I agree that I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Venom in the MCU. His recent track record is not something he can exactly hold over Sony either imo. Without Deadpool (which creatively is Ryan Reynolds baby), he's not exactly standing on the peak of the mountain.

And the thing about that is Deadpool arguably would've been a success with or without the MCU, if the first two were any indication. The universe arguably needs Deadpool more than Reynolds needs the MCU. The man could retire from playing the Merc and live comfortably off of Mint Mobile ads!

If Fox made that film and you eliminated the TVA and any other MCU elements, you still have a Deadpool and Wolverine team- up, which is making a billion+ any way you slice it.

I just find it hard to believe at this point.

They are called, RUMORS.
Sure, but so was RDJ is going to be Doom. That was a rumor I deemed too dumb to be true. Yet here we are.

Also, Knull literally in post credits says he is coming and they're pushing the narrative that this is last Venom solo and we don't have other Sony spinoffs in development anyone knows about. So where would he comeback then? To me, it's clear what the intent is

Let me know when you have, FACTS to back up that opinion.

So how do you explain all the reports about Knull and such being in SM4?

All of it sounds like speculation more than anything. No legitimate outlet has reported that Knull will be in MCU Spider-Man 4.

There's no teaming they can do here though. And this movie is getting terrible reviews. Knull isn't the answer here.

Oh absolutely.

While I think the MCU connection might have helped if just to get the MCU normies on board, both Deadpool 1 and 2 did well in the era when Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix were the main X-Men films being released, so a third film would've absolutely done gangbusters were it under Fox.

But we also could say the same about RDJ pre Comic Con. But these various rumors have been correct about the time table for SM4 when it will be filming and probable release window. So, looks like smoke to me

Siike from Venom Vlog liked it. He ranks this between Venom and Carnage, so that's cool. Great channel to check out if you are a Venom fan.

Here's the thing thats frustrating with this Sony universe, its clear they WANT a Spider-man connection and they keep teasing us that these movies are somehow someway kind of connected to Tom Holland and these connections never materialize. It looked like for a minute that Venom 2 was finally going to bridge the gap with that post credits scene...but then NWH was like "NOPE! Get your sorry ass out of the MCU!" So it kind of feels like we're watching Feige and Amy Pascal's dispute through these films.

I dont want Holland's Spiderman involved with this stuff but Sony keeps dangling that carrot and every time one of these movies comes out the number one question asked in every interview is "how does this connect with Spider-man?" and they're like "you'llllll see!" Just wait until the Kraven press tour, Aaron Taylor Johnson is gonna be bombarded with that question and they're gonna milk it.

It means nothing at this point until there's an actual announcement. The films themselves make it clear that MCU wants nothing to do with Sony Spider-Man Universe Sans Spider-Man.

Wasn't there a quote from an exec that Knull was going to be around for a while?

Multiple have said he will he in multiple projects. That doesn't necessarily mean he will be around for like a bunch of years. But they're already telling us he is coming back
