VH1'S 100 Greatest Artists of All Time

they asked actual performers/musicians....there was no fan voting here, so I respect it more than most

I don't, it's still one of the worst Top 100 lists I've even laid eyes on.

and VH1 can go **** themselves.

it depends on the day for me....some days its Elvis, some days its the Beatles

Nirvana belong on the list because of their impact on the music industry and Cobain's soulful lyrics and anti-establishment persona.

You don't see any artist like him on the pop charts and probably never will again.

Jimi Hendrix was the same.....x 100

I'm glad Bob Marley and Prince both made the top 11.

I think the top ten was pretty solid.

Hendrix was fashionable and was a man of the times. He didn't force the industry to re-examine itself the way Cobain did. He didn't contrast with popular music the way Cobain did.

Because they were artist at very different times they rebelled against different things.

I have to say the top ten looks good to me. It's the rest of the list that's suspect.

I disagree....I think a lot of his music holds up surprisingly well

I wanna watch out of curiosity what was said about The Ramones.

I think I'd be tempted to put Elton a little higher on the list.

Queen and Pink Floyd, too. :o
