Even though it's in the works I would redo Street Fighter and have Ryu as the central character instead of Chun Li, since his story is central to the SF franchise.

Got to playing FF6 again and I want this as a movie. a lot would have to be cut, but the core of the story would make a blockbuster for sure.

For Director it would have to be a toss up with Matthew Vaughn(Stardust, Thor), or Alfonso Cuaron(Children of men).

Replaying Dragon Age. Thinking the Noble Human origin would make a great Fantasy flick. Most likely it will need two or three movies to tell the story. Would need to be Dark, Mature.
I would want Niell Blomkamp to Direct. Blomkamp and David Gaider to work on Script. Weta Workshop would have to be brought in.

Lol. He does have a soft voice, although it works well for a bunch of roles.

Good taste with those. God of War and Gears of War would be right at the top of my list.

i wasn't big fan of halo but i used to play the games when i had an x-box! i think live aciton halo movie could work. but it probably be lots of heavy cgi special effects, i did pick up halo movie at mackeys used book store. it was called night fall! i only paid $2 bucks. if you want to check it out its called halo: night fall!

I'm more of an RPG fan than anything, but those tend to lend themselves more to TV and would be ambitious either way.

I'd like to see Metroid, Perfect Dark, Castlevania, Ninja Gaiden...Bubble Bobble would make a cute animated film. Maniac Mansion is just crazy enough to work.

Or they could make Goldeneye: The Video Game: The Movie. James Bond could be forced to relive events because Natalya keeps dying when she stands in the way of his gunfire.

There is a Halo TV series in the works over at Showtime. No idea if it will be good but some of the cast is quality (Pablo Schreiber and Natasha Lyonne).

The Legend of Zelda has so much potential.

For real. Honestly, I could live with never seeing another video game adapted to film if they just do Zelda and get it right. If they went the TV route instead of the movie route, I think it would be cool to have each season be a completely different Zelda story with new actors in each role, since most of the games are reimaginings rather than direct sequels.

That said, other games that I’d love to see adapted a Metroid, Castlevania (live action, though the animated series is awesome so at least we have that), and the Elder Scrolls (preferably Skyrim but anything set in that world has the potential to be amazing).

A Mass Effect-movie directed by James Cameron could perhaps be something to behold. The Red Dead Redemption games, especially the second one, feels like they could be turned into Oscar-worthy material in the right hands. But since there isn't much interest in western-movies these days I doubt they ever will be adapted. Been playing Fahrenheit lately and for some reason I kind of wonder what David Lynch could do with an adaptation of that game.
