Days of Future Past Villain/s for First Class sequel?

There are a couple of villains I wouldnt mind them using for this, the obvious one would of course be Magneto and his brotherhood, but I actually want Magneto and Xavier to team up again in FC2. Magneto isnt quite the same one we know yet in FC, even at the end (No humans are seen to be harmed at the CIA HQ, and I personally consider his episode on the beach to be derived from anger rather than a desire to kill humans), so I want them to team up against a big threat and do things like build Cerebro and recruit some more mutants to the school. I wouldnt even mind the 2nd movie ending with Magneto being a teacher at the school. This is all my personal preference of course, and I think anyone on the poll would be a significant enough threat to make them band together, what do you peeps feel and who do you want to see as the main villain?

I see the sequel being the first X-Men VS Brotherhood and then in third film Xavier and Magneto have to team up against a threat.

^I dunno, with McAvoy saying they dont want to go down the route of them immediatly fighting each other I just dont see it, anyway, I would say Apocalypse is too big for a FC, I would rather they saved him for a possible X4, it is too early for Proteus but I could see them making it work, but Mister Sinister is my pick.

Vaughn has previously said he wanted to beguin sequel with Magneto being responable for magic bullet that kills JFK.We never really have seen Magneto launch attacks on human governments In films.Vaughn has talked about new character to go toe to toe with magneto.By end of first Class Brotherhood IS formed.And Magneto Isn't going to just sit around for years.It would make more sence for X-Men VS Brotherhood for sequel and then a team up for third and final film.And do people really want to Involve Sinster without Cyclops?

I don't mind seeing evil humans being secondary villains, but they wouldn't be sufficiently heavy-hitting to be the sole villains. I think I'd like Mr. Sinister to be the next villain. He could really challenge Charles.

On second thought I think Omega Red could possibly be an excellent choice, these events will take place during the cold war, so someone like Omega Red could be the SU's response to the events of the first movie, someone to protect the country from mutants.

That's not a bad idea. However, is Omega Red really up for that? Magneto and Professor X.

A human enemy (or at least one backed by humans) would also make sense however, since the last movie ended with a falling out between X and the government.

I'm sure with some tweaks to his powers, etc he could handle them both, The Russians made Shaw's helmet in FC remember, so they could make something similar for Omega Red, and they could make his armour and tentacles non metal but very tough. They could definately do it.

A human enemy with influence from mutants would be perfect in my eyes, maybe Sinister could manipulate them. Or if Omega Red is chosen, it would be the humans that made him after all.

I always wanted to see sentinels done right but that would suit better the 1980's line up in a movie with a bigger budget.

All these people picking Sinster are aware Cyclops Is too young to be Included.This also means Magneto and brotherhood would have smaller roles.That could mean Emma Frost,
Azarel,Riptide,and Angel all being dropped.You need henchmen for Sinster.And Matthew Vaughn has previsously said he only wants to bring In 1 new character.

^Thats true, but Cyclops doesnt necessarily have to be involved with Sinister in the film universe, they could use Havoc for that purpose.

The Sentinels don't need to appear in public. They could attack the X-men in a remote area. If the sentinels are Russian created... Russia is pretty big.

I think that once the basic story idea is nailed down, it will suggest the possible villains, just as happened with the first film.

I wouldn't want to see characters forced into the story. We already had that with X3 and Wolverine. Characters were put in there just for fan service and it didn't work.

i would like to see sinister, but maybe he could be hinted at at the end of the film, and in this one we could have also friends of humanity terrorizing mutants, government building sentinels.

Yeah, thats why I only want 3/4 new characters maximum in FC2/SC, we still need time to explore the likes of Mystique, Beast, Havoc, Azazel and Emma and not to mention of course Charles and Magneto.

Throwing characters in for the sake of it didnt work in either X3 or Wolverine so I am hoping they resist the urge to do that. A few cameo's are ok, ala, Wolverine's in FC, but nothing more than that.

I vote for Mister Sinister, because as important as Magneto and The Brotherhood are I'm starting to get tired of them being the villains.

Mister Sinister is long overdue for some CMB love, it could also provide a perfect chance for Cyclops to be a very prominent character and an important part of the plot.

^I would love Sinister as well, but I think Proteus and Omega Red could really work as well. It may a little early to introduce Cyclops yet if they are staying in the 60's.

The new villain(s) has to somehow connect themselves to the character or character(s) we already know or could expect to know.

For men, I can see Magneto as a partial villain again, but the introduction of Mr. Sinister would seem very timely IMO.

If Matthew Vaughn and Bryan Singer want to use Sentinles then I would support them.

The fact remains Sentinles to do could cost a lot.While Vaughn has more money than Singer did when he did X2 he still would have limits.If the sentitles are cut down to
human size expect people to come on this board and just complain again.I also think the public needs to be aware of mutants first before the sentinles are Introduced.In comics
Boliver Trask Invented them on his own.Not because the government told him so.

You have to be aware they allready have a large cast.We don't need an overcwoad likeThe Last Stand.With X2 they dropped Toad and Sabretooth.Introduced Nightcrawler,
Stryker,and Deathstrike.and Beefed up the cameos of Iceman and Pyro.I want them to go the X2 route and not the Last Stand.

It would make more sense for Magneto to be villian for sequel and them In third film he and Xavier team up against villain.Rather It be Sinster or Sentinles.That could lead to Magneto temporilly ceasing conflict with humanity and then In X-Men resuming It with the push for registration act.

As good as Magneto was played I'm still tired of seeing the X-men going up against him and the Brotherhood. I want to see them go up against something different for a change.
