I don't know if I've posted in here yet, but I think Bane is my ideal villain I want to see in this film. I can't wait to hear though what we are getting. But my bet is on Bane.

Fully agree. Bane is extremely intelligent and extremely fit physically. Hes perfect for Nolan

I can see Black Mask, Two Face, and Cat Woman in TDKR. Mainly because of the heavy involvement with crime in TDK. Harvey Dent was the key to stop the crime now he could be the key to the crime. Black Mask could very well step into this movie, save the mob [or start a new one] and possibly run the city until the bats back. Catwoman's a heist and they have hired 2 leading female roles in this movie [most likely to be Catwoman; return of rachel?; Talia Al ghul [very likely]; Harley Quinn [highly unlikely without a return of the joker]. Black Mask/Two Face = Known for crime and power; Catwoman = Known for heists and a 'crucial' love affair with the bat. I CAN NOT STAND BANE. Batman and Robin ruined Bane for me. I can see Hugo Strange if ScareCrow/Ventriloquist steps in NOT AS A MAIN CHARACTER

Two-Face is DEAD

Not for certain my dear bud, lots of speculation around him in TDKR. Both him and the bat fell the same distance. Batman also took the blame for TwoFaces Killings to cover for Harvey dent. When they had the 'funeral' could also a cover up to keep Harveys name honored. JMO

Nolan and Eckhart both confirmed Two-Face is dead. He's done. No more Two-Face.

Didnt know that, Nolans killing off or getting rid of too many characters. Hes not very consistent. Rachel ?; Harvey; Al Ghul - All dead now? Id like to see some consistency with his movies just because the movies before his kept swapping villains from movie to movie.

The storyline is pretty consistent. The Joker isn't dead (though he isn't coming back so far as we know). Everyone that died did so to further the narrative. Nolan knows what he's doing. The themes have been escalation. New villains allow for this theme to be explored.

Yea i realize that Im just saying. If hes going to keep the mob/crime storyline up nows the perfect time for black mask and catwoman to step in. I cant see Hugo Strange or bane fit in the storyline that hes built. Theres alot of fan base behind BlackMask and CatWoman.

I'm sure whoever Nolan picks will fit quite nicely within his narrative and should further Batmans story nicely. He hasn't let us down thus far

Plus his highly creative brother has been writing the story. TDKR should be epic.

I'm sure Nolan's picks will be great picks in his final chapter.

I think Hugo Strange, Catwoman and Deadshot would be cool. I definitely think three villains can work with the right script.

If not that, then...

Bane, Catwoman and Deadshot.

I wouldn't rule out Black Mask... but a lot of posters on here have sold me on Hugo Strange. JMO. I just think that he fits with where I think the story is going.

... and I definitely think there will be a reverse Harvey Dent/Two Face story arch in TDKR with Selina Kyle/Catwoman. I felt that immediately after seeing TDK. Just my thoughts, but I'm not claiming to know anything... just hoping.

I get fidgety when it comes to a 3 villain picture. 2 villains worked wonderfully in TDK because of how well that story arc was written, but with 3 villains it runs the risk of being bogged down. I want a 2 villain max so that we get to know the characters a bit more. I think the villain debate overshadows the fact that this is still Batman's story and if the focus is on the villains and their storyline, I fear Batman will lose out. The villain in this film should be there to further Batman as a character.

^^^ You make great points.

When I said three villains... I really meant two main villains and a cameo villain (and I should have put it that way)... similiar to TDK... which had a main villain (The Joker), a secondary villain at the end only (Two Face), and a cameo villain (The Scarecrow).

JMO... my favorite scenario is Hugo Strange getting a little more screen time than The Joker, Selina Kyle and Catwoman (combined) - getting around the same screen time as Harvey Dent and Two Face (combined), and Deadshot getting two really good scenes. JMO. The screentime that was given to Rachel in TDK can easily be split up between more Bruce/Batman and more Commission Gordon.

Okay, enough said... I'm babbling on.

I could see Deadshot as a villain Batman takes down while still "on the run" as kind of a sign that though he's a "villain" in the eyes of Gotham at the moment, he's still their protector kind of thing. Any more attention to a 3rd villain and you end up on that SM3 slippery slope

I don't think Mickey Rourke would play Killer Croc. Unless he was the main villain and the pay was extremely high. And Croc should not be the main villain.

Rourke hates heavy makeup jobs and said Marv would be the only one he'd ever do. Only person who hates sitting in the makeup chair more than Rourke is probably Alan Cumming(see him talk about Nightcrawler)!

I don't see Croc as a main villain type-o-guy either, but I can see him fitting the "Two-Face" role. As Two-Face, Eckhart got what...approx. 15 minutes of actual screen-time? Croc's backstory wouldn't need much explanation, if any. A simple news report from Mike Engel playing in the background asking citizens to beware of "a homeless lunatic mugging people on the streets at night, leaving behind their mangled bodies" or something of that nature. Batman catches him in the act of nearly bludgeoning someone to death, gives him a good fight, but Croc manages to escape into an nearby manhole. Give him a 2nd scene in which he is taken down with a gunshot to the knee by Bullock or Gordon, and that's Croc's big-screen debut. :cwink:

Would Rourke do it? I dunno. Bigger actors have taken on smaller roles and cameos. If not, I'd be fine with Vin Diesel or Kevin Nash, as this role wouldn't require a lot of dialogue anyway.

Best I've seen of Croc is in that Joker graphic novel that Brian Azzarello did. He was kind of a side-kick/buddy of the Joker. I liked Croc in that realistic interpretation.

I rather see Croc as a mob heavy with extreme body modification croc texture tats (it is the nolanverse so i'm trying to go with a "realistic" interp.) Except for the homeless lunatic part I'd be fine with Croc showing up like that 'cept I'd want to see Batman going down that manhole after him.:yay:

If deadshot is used I would like him to use revolvers in his hands rather than on them.

Black mask meshes very well with the series, think Jeffrey skilling(enron CEO) meats Tony Montana(scarface) oh with a mask though.

Bane could be a very big threat, but I don't really see the point of him as a villian, other than batman physically overcoming him.

As for catwoman, I really don't know if the character that Nolan has developed could be emotionally attached to someone after the TDK events.
I would predict he would go into a state of depression, as his only hope for giving up batman died(dent), and the love of his life died(Rachel).

I assume he would become the cold calculating batman we all know.

I think Talia could make for a good story, but idk

If Bruce Wayne can have such high tech then DEADSHOT should be able to as well. Tho after so many variations on the wrist gun in movies(Predator, Universal Soldier, Cowboys and Aliens) I'm not sure I'd want to see deadshot. If he can't have wrist guns than I'd rather he not be in the movie with such a drastic change in character. Drastic meaning the character to my knowledge never appeared with anything but his signature wrist hardware in the comicbooks.

Never read it, but that sounds cool. On that same note, Croc could be sorta a natural born freak who was inspired by the Joker to cause destruction. He lacks the smarts, but has the brute strength to hurt a lot of people before being taken out.

I'd be cool with any of these:
Hugo Strange, Bane, Catwoman, Black Mask, Hush, Clayface, or Talia. Penguin, Mad Hatter or Killer Croc I could see in a very small side character role. Not the main villain.

Both him and the bat fell the same distance.

Yes, and which one of them was trained to peak physical perfection and wearing cutting edge body armor opposed to the other who was a recent severe burn victim in a business suit? Simple mathematics.
