That has me thinking... Who do y'all consider the best wrestlers to never hold a "world title" (WWF/E, WCW/NWA)?

For me, it may be Arn Anderson and Dean Malenko.

Add Jake Roberts and Curt Hennig to the list.

I really look forward to the day that the Title picture looks like this:

WWE Champion: Daniel Bryan

WHC Champion: Dolph Ziggler

US Champion: Dean Ambrose

IC Champion: Curtis Axel

Divas Champ: AJ Lee

Tag Champs: Rollins And Reigns

Most of them already hold the titles but with the two major changes of WWE and WHC champions, it'll really feel like change has happened in the WWE especially since alot of the people holding titles were once dismissed as "Internet/Smark darlings"

Those are some solid picks.

For some reason I thought Rick Rude held the WCW belt, but I could just be thinking of his US title reigns, back when the US title was a huge deal.

Competitors for the 2013 G1 Climax were announced.

The G1 Climax starts on August 1 and goes until August 11 where the finals will take place at Sumo Hall in Tokyo. The competitors are as follows:
Block A: IWGP Champion Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Togi Makabe, IWGP Jr. Champion Prince Devitt, IWGP Tag Champion Satoshi Kojima, Tomohiro Ishii, Hirooki Goto, Katsuyori Shibata, Lance Archer, Davey Boy Smith Jr.

Block B: IWGP Tag Champion Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Yuji Nagata, Shinsuke Nakamura, Tetsuya Naito, Yujiro Takahashi, Minoru Suzuki, Shelton Benjamin, Toru Yano, Karl Anderson, Kota Ibushi.

Really good stuff. So awesome NJPW got Ibushi and Shibata for this tournament. Bringing outside talent really gives this tournament credibility. Can't say enough good things about NJPW. They're definitely the best company out right now.

He did.

Indeed they are and this years' line-up looks no different.

I didn't know or forgot Rude was world champion But still wasn't at least WWF Champion

I've only been watching since 2003, so I don't think it would be appropriate for me to talk about guys from a previous era, so from 03 until now I would say...

William Regal and I think that's about it. Seems like all of guys that should've held a wold title have done so, even if just a transitional champ or short reign. Except Regal of course.

While I agree, lets be honest most of the internet smark/darlings can do no wrong in the eyes of their audience. But kudos to them for actually getting the company to believe and invest in them.

The only real problem I have with the whole internet/smark darlings notion is the often double standards a guy or gal who does work there ass off to get to the high points within the company that who does not fall into that category is met with. And in this case they may never really, or have to work even harder to win the smarks over, as when you put one of their darlings next to them, there's only going to be one winner, regardless of who actually is better. I probably haven't worded this together well, but I hope you can see what I'm getting at.

I try to be as fair as possible but I will show bias at times. We're all guilty of that sometimes.

Same, but yes, we are all guilty of showing bias at times. It just seems more noticeable with the internet/smark darlings though. What really irritates me is when the smarks deliberately go out of their way to boo and jeer someone who is working their ass off in favour of their darling who is in the ring, a promo, a segment, and/or a feud with them, regardless of whether the former is holding their own or even bettering what their darling is doing.

The IWC turn on their darlings all the time too,Ain't never satisfied,I'm a IWC member obviously But IF I am a fan/mark for someone I actually support them!

The IWC/smarks around the internet marked out insanely for CM Punk's pipe bomb promo and wanted a push so bad..But once the casuals got into him and Punk did weekly mini pipe bombs many within the IWC turned on him!

Really? That's actually pretty hillarious, in regards to the fickleness.

The issue I have with the IWC community is that many of them look at all the flashy moves of certain wrestlings and ignore basic ring psychology, as in if their mic skills are up to snuff, if they're good at telling or carrying out storylines, if they can sell, do they follow a good strategy, and also, like what's been talked about in this thread the last few weeks, do they fit in with a certain companys goals or can they adjust to a certain company's plans?

Say what people want about Cena or Hogan, or other guys in the past, but they may not be the flashiest wrestlers nor are they most skilled wrestlers, but they both had a great understanding of ring psychology, unlike the f**king Great Khali or some of these indie darlings the IWC raves on about.

On here it's never that bad But I've read on different wrestling forums where people I knew would mark for Punk like during SES/New Nexus and claimed "****ed"during the pipe bomb and that he was so badly used&one of the most underrated..But once Punk turned face/casuals dug him much more and did his pipe bombs they acted like was Hulk Hogan and when he tried to get Beth Phoenix a push and his long title reign started they acted like was was a major *****e and worse than Cena.

When Zack Ryder started with his YouTube videos they loved him But once he became Cena's best friend on TV he was a joke and his guts were hated.
