I think they will skew just a bit younger for Waller. CCH is awesome in anything but I have a feeling Waller will be closer to being on the cusp of 40 than near or over 50.

Maybe I will get hated for this but I would love to see queen latifah as Amanda. She's an amazing actress as seen in the secret life of bees, hairspray and Chicago. It's a shame she doesn't get more cred

Is Viola all that big? I don't even mean weight wise. Waller is, or at least CLASSICALLY has been imposing physically, broad... I see Latifah as slightly better just cause of that. Viola is a good actress, so no tears if she is cast.

Of course. BERNIE MAC. Gorgeous woman, great comedic timing. Sorry to say, though that I don't see Waller there. She's a little too central casting. She's too good looking in a conventional way. Now, maybe it's me, but I think Queen Latifah is a good looking woman, she is appealing... IN AN UNCONVENTIONAL WAY. By no means do I think that she is Paula Patton good looking, but she's not a troll either, and I think Waller would fall into that category. Smith seems more in line with the New 52 portrayal, though, so if that's what you have in mind I guess she would be a better fit. Smith is pretty tall for a woman, 5' 10" and maybe she could be imposing, but a Latifah type or a Viola Davis seem more authoritative, to me at least for a more "classic" Waller as seen in the original comics and in JLU.

I saw Smith on a few episodes of Z Nation and was shocked to read she's a comedienne. She plays a very authoritative CCH Pounder type of role on the show.

Granted I prefer Old DC Waller too.

Queen Latifah would be good but she injects so much of her personality in every role I've seen her in. She'd have to dial back her personality to go for a cool calculated performance
