those are nice. I'm sure when the DVD comes out, It will be loaded with lots of concept art for the Phoenix, Much like the previous DVDs had concept art for other characters.

I went to the actual website and there's a pic of jean that looks like her bursting out of her cocoon. These are great. I wish they incorporate these effects in the DVD version. FOX owes us huge!!!

From the trailer it looks like they tried to go with the blue effect almost. Because we see a full head shot of her and it's blue not read like in the movie. Some of these are really cool, others are just sort of wierd.

The only thing I really don't understand is she was surrounded by fire in the end of X2. So any arguments about it being confused with Pyro really have no weight to them.

What could have been is what makes the movie worse for me.

Stacy X is way too similar to Mystique; probably best they didn’t use her.

Love the Phoenix concepts; it’s slightly annoying they weren’t used in X3 but oh well. I’m not going to complain because I thought the effects that were used were good, loved the corpse stare when she got really mad – that was totally unexpected.

Its a shame they didn't put more effort into the Dark Phoenix effects. We were promised so much but we got nothing.

The Phoenix Art leaves me with mixed feelings, but it's clear they were batting around different possibilities: some I like, others not.

Overall they're a bit TOO ethereal for me - I like that we're seeing 'energy' in different froms than just plain old flames - but some of it comes across as not tangible enough, just random wisps.

... They are impressive yes... Im hoping for a Special Edition. I mean they probably were working on the effects but the guys had what? 8 weeks to do the visual effects for the whole movie. Again, TIME. If only Fox gave them more time. They're such complete idiots.

Famke looks really beautiful and hot...but atleast we know what she looks like with all that fire and flames and all. Im in awe. Still, its sad it wasn't in the movie. Blame Fox for the time they should have given the crew...
