I know some people (including myself) have doubts as to how well Darkseid would fit in Singer's grounded reality. But I still think it would be really cool and open doors for some insane action scenes. I also think Darkseid is the kind of villian you set up in the second one and address in the third one. If they were to use him in Man of Steel, they should look at alot of S: TAS Darkseid episodes. I think he was the coolest bad guys in the series... it's what first interested me in the character

I actually wonder how grounded in reality the sequel will be Zor-El. Singers going a new direction with it and hes kinda a hardcore trek/scifi nerd.

My biggest concern is it will be too cartoony/action-oriented and there will be no story.

Yeah, I thought about that after I posted it. Its a good point and a fair concern. Heres hoping they dont go too far in that direction... although I trust Singer when it comes to putting the story first... we'll see...

What gave me away?

Actually, I didn't mind the design of SR's \S/ that much, but I don't see why they felt the need to deviate from the comics in its design (it really doesn't make much of a difference, but the comic shield is better IMO. The curve of the S is much more elegant and pleasing to the eye than SR's version).

Superman on the comic on the right looks alot like Tom Welling.... Check out the nose, and Jawline.

I don't even think you can call that the comic S. Very few artists draw it like that and to be honest Singer's S looks far more like how artists have been drawing it for years.

Personally, I'd say that out of all those shield's pictured on the chart, the SR 'S' more closely resembles the George Reeves 'S' shield.
