Tom is made to appear young 'cause the series needs him to. He looks much older without the goofy haircut and clothes. Just take a look at this official poster:

Looks much more like 30+ Clark to me.

All I gotta say is at least Tom Welling can act. Brandon's face was basically the same throughout the film. Blank stare = Model face.

What is he gonna ****ing cry when he saving some chick?
is he gonna laugh his ass off when he grabs a car?

Whenever you do something that is normal to you, i bet you have a blank face. Saving people is Superman's equal to stapling papers or taking out the garbage.

And bringing Welling into here is just fueling old fires and going against the sticky about leaving Smallville and it's Clark out of the movie section

Since the entire movie was Routh trying to interact with Lois, the kid or Jimmy, yes it would be nice if he could act. The 5 minutes of action in the film was fine and his blank look worked fine for the "action" scenes.

That is more than debatable. Welling does well on his show, but he is not the 2nd coming of insert famous actor name
 
First he was too emo, now he wasnt emotional enough.

That last scene with him and Jason was acted in a great way. I never really want to see Superman behaving more emotional than that last scene, it was the limit.
 
I thought Brandon did fine with his emotions, it was written all over his face.

I don't really get why people call him a good actor, but it's all opion. No more Welling talk for me.
 
I don't care how much someone loved the film. It could be your favorite film of all time, but there is no way that any sane person would feel Routh is a great actor. If you want to say he did ok, and was passable, I can agree. But he has no natural acting ability, he has a 'look' that got him by.

Reeve was typecast after Superman because he was too good. He was identified only as Superman, and still is. His career was limited. He was classicly trained and a fine actor. Routh will not work in Hollywood much because he's simply not good at acting.

Again, there might be people that thing Routh is incredible, the best actor in the world. It is all opinion. I don't think Welling is all that good, but he does well in the show. Others thing he is an academy award winner. It's all opinion. I think Routh was solid as Superman and Clark.

Reeve never had a reputation of being a great film actor, he was a good film actor, but he was more accomplished on stage. He was well liked by his peers but chose movies that did well with critics but not so well in the box office, I think there was one that did good. This obviouisly doesn't include Superman. Routh not being a good actor, is again your opinion.

Hmmm the critical reviews overall say otherwise. Check RT. I'd say he was well accepted.

He definately scores high on all the polls on SHH and BT among the Superman fans as well.

I would just like Routh to show a little more facial emotion than just blankly staring at Lois or Jason or even Jimmy. I think Routh is ok but Welling is better than him. Welling can tranfser his emotions to his audience better Routh can. I may have a slightly blank face when i do things but Superman normally has a sence of satisfaction when he saves people. It's his job and he feels good about it and should make the audience watching the movie fell the same. Even just a smile after saving a falling helicopter or shout of excitment from flying through the air would make it a better part.
