Writing constraints? Why would they introduce Jason if they didn't know what to do with him. Just because you can't see a way to progress the story doesn't mean the writers can't.

They should recast Lois while they are at it.

Although Kate wasn't very good in SR, I think she has the ability to improve. Plus recasting Kate would be too jarring. Consistency is key.

I would've thought being in the north pole was good enough security.

5) This is a tough one cause Lex should be the Lex of SV or Lois and Clark. A
legit businessman to all appearances surrounded by competent and deadly
associates. Forget her name but loved Lex's assistant from L&C.

That's one interpretation. Another one is the one Singer is using.

But really there is so much to fix don't you think it would be easier just to restart?

I disagree and see a lot of problems. Quite similar to the Hulk situation after that movie came out in 2003. The approach that studio is taking with the new film makes a lot of sense and WB should take heed.

Sometimes you just have to drop back ten and punt.

But WB does NOT see the problems you are seeing, otherwise they would do something about it.

The director, the writers, the studio...none of them see it as a storyline hurdle or roadblock...but some dude on the internet does...they are clearly screwed.

god i hope batman kicks superman's ass whenever that one gets made. i'm never forgiving superman returns for how awful it was for the budget and talent it had working for it. my previous opinion stands -- x-men 2 was a fluke and the first x-men really is all that singer can do with superhero material.

Scary thought - that X2 was a fluke. But in my heart I do not think we will be seeing a Singer sequel. That gives me comfort.

The controversy over this film - go to any Superman site - I know SHH has a rep. Heck, go to the movie sites. I don't see how WB can continue with this given the antipathy the vision - this vision - of Superman has conjured up.

in the comic when the doomday saga was start it was awsome and we don;t need those other superheros in the doomday just superman since he was the one stop doomday, and they could have death of superman as title and in 3rd one superman Live! like in comic if anyone of u guys remember?
when superman come back to life after doomday he had longer hair which i think lot of fan liked better, he look cooler with longer hair.
i am little awaking with the son of superman in superman return in comic there was no such thing like that but oh well.
as for doomday if they are make superman 2 based that saga, they should not need to do that superboy, supergirl, steel, green latern and adv. of the supermn in it. if u know what i mean just superman's battle with doomday and death and back to life with different hair-do.

Who is Superman?? What does it mean to where the family crest??
We severly missed an introduction into the importance of the character.

Sort the Supercam out for the flying scenes. I'd like to see more imagination when it comes to the flying scenes. Less of the 'simple' route.

More action but I think we know that.

IMO they need to show Superman 'shining the light to show the way'. Instead of crying because his X has moved on. He's better than that.

I'm sure they can be resolved without resorting to cheap or obvious routes - just replace the existing creative team. Not the cast, necessarily (except maybe Bosworth - too young, IMO) - Donner intended the movie continuity to be receptive to comics lore, so get someone who will actually make that happen.

3 villains huh? we'll probably end up getting luthor, zod and a polar bear. its like someone said before, they should restart this like what they are doing with the hulk over at marvel. donner's vision for superman was great, but its pretty dated. superman has changed a lot since 1978. bring on brainiac or someone we haven't seen before.

I also want them to show us more personal stuff about cark/superman. like what does clark do in his spare time, does he have fun? Something like they used to to in Lois and Clark, just show us when clarks by himself he knows how to have alittle fun.

the dark tone, superman is a day-light hero
dialogues without sense, and goofy characters who dont talk
more STM references, i love the old movies but i want a original generation.

another bad marketing strategy
director/productors/whriters cameos, thats not original in this years. they should keep their humildity

With a good story, you can correct all the terrible mistakes of the first, including real action.
