I skimmed to the end of the script where Voltron is formed and well:

Once all the Lionbots form made of garbage and spare parts from cars and earthbound materials, Voltron looks shiny and epic (I guess like the show?)

Well I was under the impression, that the Lionbots were already around. They were just buried, or hidden somewhere on Earth, and that the Space Explorers had to search for them. When I heard that, I guessed they would already be shinny and epic looking.

But I mean come on, and you may or may not agree. Spare parts, garbage, how is this going to appear all cool shinny and epic looking after they are formed together?

3. Street Fighter


I would've like them to have stuck with the basics that made the character popular to begin with . Kinda like Transformers .

All of those will bomb for sure and I expect Voltron too aswell, despite my love. :heart:

I dont understand why they feel as though they should destroy a classic cartoon. I would much rather the pilots be from different places and have a lion, then find a way to reunite with the other lions and form Voltron, not none of this Junktron BS

Otherwise, and old schmuck could get the keys and control Voltron.

Make it a movie about discovery of your true character...and redemption etc...

I don't know, how would something like that appeal to you? As a fan of Voltron trying to get a good depiction of it on the big screen without making it just crappy campy kids stuff.

Well, basically, yeah. I mean, if we were getting Voltron like that, then yes. IF this writer is truly making the Lionbots from crap, then at least give it some flare by having the energy actually make the TRUE Voltron. That's something I could stomach looking at.

What would you rather see? Or are you happy with the description we were given by the script??

Voltron has been non-exsiting in the media for decades . Only fans from the tv series would know who Voltron is . While others would see it as a rip-off of Power Rangers or Transformers .

Well man, you may be on to something. It seems like they should get a cartoon going soon, an updated version of course, but something to put in the spotlight so audiences are aware when it opens.

But I agree. As of now, it might just be the hardcore fans reading about it on the net that will know about this movie. Being a fan, I don't want it to tank, or be compared to Power Rangers/Transformers. I want it to stand out and make some serious cash.

have you watch transformers lately? It is really bad and already is dated.

I watched it a few days ago and still enjoyed it for what it was. Despite all of it's flaws I found it to be entertaining. My expectations for a movie adapted from a toyline and cartoon with a hundred plotholes was never that high. Transformers never had strong source material so I didn't expect the movie to have a good storyline. At least I found all the action and some of the humour to be entertaining. Hopefully, the sequel will be much better.

Was Iron Man really that surprising? It had the budget. It had the right people behind it. Marvel produced it. It threw out everything that came before that was really out there and went with a story that was much closer to the comics.

The only thing that really surprised me about Iron Man was how successful it was.

For me, and I'm not knocking the movie, because I loved it. So that's out of the way now.

Anyway. From all the trailers and clips, it showed alot of the comedy side. Which led many to think that it was going to be a silly version of Iron Man. Well it suprised me with how it wasn't really silly at all. The jokes were timed and exicuted perfectly by Downey and it made it seem real and not just like it was planned. That's how it surprised me.

The film of Iron Man was basically Batman Begins film (Jon Favreau followed Christopher Nolan's formula format to the letter Basically establishing The Character Alter Ego first - Tony Stark before donning The Armor suit becoming Iron Man .) Plus the Whole grounding the film in realism too.

Like Bale & Nolan did with Batman in Begins making you love the character of Bruce Wayne before becoming Batman . While he was on his soul Quest Discovery .

Good point man. Isn't it like an hour before we first see Tony Stark?? Iron Man wasn't in the movie long, but it flowed very well, and Downey made the Stark character interesting to watch getting to the point of donning the armor...like Bale in Batman Begins.

So, back to Voltron.

As for the discovery of The Lions It should be like a Global Scavenger Hunt Where Each Lion is hidden a very Famous important historical monuments .

For Example
Black Lion - Underneath The Statue Of Liberty in New York
Blue Lion - inside Ben Ben in England
Yellow Lion - Inside one of the ancient Egyptian pyramids (that just so happens to be the resting place of Ra) in Egypt
Green Lion - Standing stones and ancient monuments in Scotland
Red Lion - Underneath The Eiffel Tower in Paris.

As for The Keys ... I say that The Kids each have one (way before The princess arrives on Earth .) That was given to them each by their parents or Grandparent who were the Guardians of The Keys until The Chosen Children reached a certain age to fullfill their Destiny .

Agreed either a CG film or an Animated film .

Now that idea, I can live with. Have them at given to them at birth. Add a little something about a certain age will be when they learn more about the keys and then take on the journey. They don't know each other until they each get their Lionbots and then something brings them all together. From that point they learn of how they each serve as a part of Voltron.

Dude, your examples were spot on man. Of course, usually we share similarites in ideas. Especially when it comes to Smallville. Although you took the name I wanted.
