Waiting for service horror stories?

I have one more week before I move into my apartment near my college till then I been chillin like a villain at my parent's house. Now there some problem with the digital cable and the guy was suppose to show up at 8:30 AM, he called said he be late and be here between 9:30-9:45, it is now 10:15 AM and he's no where to be found. Now I'm sure there are much worse horror stories in terms of waiting for service to show up, so spill the beans!

I think everyone's had problems like this before -- it erks, but it's just what you should expect nowadays
