So ok, we've all seen SR. IDK how many people have seen it, but you can youtube it if you haven't (it's really funny if you haven't seen it). But maybe our problem with this film (those of us who have them) maybe we can't blame Singer/His writing team entirely. Look at the credits "A Jon Peters Production". Think about all the stuff he originally wanted in "Superman Reborn". Kevin Smith talks about how the Producer influences the writer and what the writer can/can not put into the script/film. Did Jon Peters ruin this film?

I have no clue what John Peters did with this film if anything, I doubt it.

Jon Peters had nothing to do with Superman Returns. He was a producer in NAME only.

Besides, he seemed to be supportive of this interpretation of Superman.

He even had the balls to admit that he didn't understand the character in the "Look up in the sky" Documentary:

"I had it wrong for 12 years."

He earned some points for that.

none of the above in the poll..THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WIT THIS MOVIE PERIOD.

hey that reminds me does anyone have a link or know where i can find the original scripts from kevin smith and from JJ abrams?

1.i dont wanna see him fly
2. i dont want him in that suit
3 i want him to fight a giant spider in the 3rd act
4.i want polar bears in the fortress
5. i want a sidekick somethin like chewbacca
-jon peters-

if Jon peter had anything to do with them ovie, then he should get much praise. It was a great movie, and i guess peter might of helped in that sense.

What the?

I really don't think that Peters can be blamed/praised for SR. I won't get into that. However he can be blamed for making us wait so long for a new Superman movie.

Nah, it's all on singer. Wb did the classic "putting all your eggs in one basket" and it was giving singer alot of creative freedom. The result is the most expensive and artsy fan film ever created.

The kevin smith speech where he talks about Peters. Youtube it and watch. It's hilarious. It's about Smith's Superman Reborn Script.

Yes there is. There is a problem with the movie when the story at the heart of the film comes off as very lame, and also remember the lack of excitement through out the course of the film, oh and then Superman fighting a piece of land.

I can't believe this was billed as a character driven film, and all the character elements were nothing but sh#t!!!!

WRONG!!!

This was Superman vs Himself ( mixed emotions for leaving Lois)
Superman vs Luther
Superman vs Henchmen
Superman vs bank robbers
Superman REMOVING NK from hurting people

More like Superman versus a diminishing amount of screentime.

I didn't see any of this so called Superman vs. himself, must have been the bad writing.

As far your other points, that screams three things. "Been There", "Done That", " Whole Lot Of Nothing"!!

i see your point but its been over 20 year since weve had a quality superman movie and we needed a little help back on the horse so i like what singer did but this next sequal i better get a supervillain and cool stuff to go along with it otherwise im joining the trolls on there B****ing contest :p

Okay...I complain...yes, but people really need to stop this.

Everyone who has commented on those leaked scripts have said they were wrong.

Peters was wrong, and though I don't think Singer was on point with his game (he missed a lot of free throws), he had a better, emotionally driven story.

LOL...he just didn't do it well for Superman.

Peters didn't even get Superman (he didn't even know who he was...literally), so we would have got absolute crap from him. Singer was...in the stadium. He just hung out int the Donner parking lot too much.

LOL...So the question might be is Donner the problem, but please let's admit that Peters wouldn't have ever gotten it right, and he will always be wrong for Superman. Singer could have gotten it better, if he had some more help getting off his knees when it comes to Donner.

It's a scientific fact, FACT, that Peters would have directed an incredible film.
