Was the action that much better?

Also the Forest scene conveyed better that Logan was outnumbered and his situation seemed more desperate.

Right, in the Mansion was only 1 single Soldier, he wasn't outnumbered at all. I honestly don't see how the forest situation seemed desperate, he was slashing Mutants who were just everday people armed with baseball bats and who didn't know how to pull a trigger. Or who's only Mutation was better hearing. The only person mention worthy is "Spike."

And for god sakes, he was part of the Weapon X program, in all honesty I felt sorry for the guys he killed.

I'm just glad other X-Men got to fight this time round...instead of Wolverine all the time.

Ratner got more money to work with than Singer got with either of his movies.

Yet, I think so much more could've been done with that final battle in X3.

I see so many excuses pop up for Singer it is not even funny.

There was a lot more action, but some of it was really unecessary. Like Magneto and his damn bridge. Overkill in the worst way.

Some of the action was "cooler" than in the previous two movies, but I still think that Magneto's Escape from plastic prison and Nightcrawler's attack on the White House was much better than anything I saw in X3. And I agree with LadyVader; The Golden Gate bridge was kinda stupid. It looked cool on the trailer but in reality; lame.

I wouldn't say lame just... pointless. All flash, no substance.

Don't forget stupid. He wants Leech dead and the cure destroyed. So why doesn't he just drop the freaking bridge on Alcatraz? No instead we sacrafice dozens of Mutants and later we just throw cars.

Well obviously he needed to make a statement. Probably gave him a hard on too knowing that people were ready to die for him.

Crazy tyranical bastard. :)

To make a statement? What's a better statement than just to drop a bridge effortlessly on Alcatraz and destroy the cure, kill Leech and Military personal all in one single swipe?

Then have Pyro lit the whole Island on fire and you clearly get your point across.

That's one of those cases where if that happened, we wouldn't have a movie. ;)

I was so disappointed by that "Final Battle". Few mutants punching each other and Juggernaut saying a line like: "I'm the Juggernaut, b***h!". Only a fourteen year old could love that. :(

You should be the comedian lad, the fights scene's in Blade 2 and Spidey 2 are the best of any mervel movie.

Yeah right! Nothing from Blade or Blade 2 was memorable.

No way is on par with X3, especially not with scene in Jean house.

Every action sequence in X2 trumps the action sequences in The Last Stand. It's not even a contest.

The only one in The Last Stand that gets even remotely close is Jean and Xavier's battle of the minds. That's it. The rest, hollow and emotionless compared to what transpired in X2.

SHUT YOUR ****E MOUTH!! Both movies being and end with kick-ass fight scenes, and there were plenty of goodies in the middle of both films as well!!

X3 had what...? Jean blowing people up.

There were good action like Mystique's interrogation room sequence and Magneto throwing the truck off the road and Pyro and his fire, but they weren't as good as X2's Magneto's escape and Nightcrawler's attack.

It may have had more action but that doesn't mean it's better. X2's action sequences work with the story. There's drama in those sequences, emotion.

With The Last Stand, none of that comes into play. It's all hollow.

Are some people on here stupid or just plain ignorant, look at the budgets Singer got compared to Ratner, let me spell it to you all, X-Men: $70 million, X2: $110 million, X-Men: The Last Stand: $200 million ($210 million according to the front) page. Ratner got more for one movie than Singer got for two, now how the **** do you expect Singer to do better?

THANK YOU!

where did all that extra money go to???

i reckon a large proportion simply went on casting...

mckellen, jackman, berry, stewart and grammer certainly don't come cheap.

Yeah right. X3 had much better action sequences. Scene in the house was 100x more spectaular and thrilling than anything from X2.

Oh, so just because something costs more, it means it must have better action scenes?

Equilibrium, Punisher, Way of the Gun are all action movies with ridiculously low budgets, and yet they managed to have great action scenes! Just because you have 210 million, doesn't mean you won't spend it on crap!

The extra cash went into casting, visual effects, and crew considering they had to rush to get this film made. They had no choice but to spend more money if this film was to be finished by May 26th.

Had the film had a proper production schedule and time, Fox wouldn't have to spend that kind of money. They would've turned an even bigger profit. Remember, along with the 200 million dollar budget, the marketing budget for this film, globally, was probably around 100 million.

So yes, Ratner's action seems to be more spectacular but that's only because he had way more money to play with than Singer.

That is the dumbest logic I've ever heard. Sure, there are movies with low budgets that turn into great action movies, but imagine if they had bigger budgets? All you proved was that X3 wasted a couple million some where along the line.
