wb talking to ryan gosling to play jl batman

I'll tell you what happened;

Dan Lin, who was recently promoted to Senior VP at WB in 2006 is trying to secure his job by pushing for this JLA project.

Its essentially 'Transformers in Tights' and its really all in order to exploit these DC characters to attempt to make Transformers-like revenue.

Theres really only 2 execs pushing for this; while everyone else is apparently pushing for Superman II. But Lin may have enough political influence to push this disaster of a film through.

Lin recently made some statement saying films from the imagination of fanboys wont make them money; so this is a better platform....... :/

Eh whatever.

Here's the thing. You already have the perfect actor playing Batman. There's no point in rushing this stupid movie, but they are doing it anyway.

Moviegoers will NOT accept another actor playing Batman one year after The Dark Knight.

What happened to WB? They were smart enough to keep EVERYBODY for Harry Potter. Several years ago a bunch of idiots said they would have to re-cast all the kids after the third movie. Which thankfully they didn't do.

You THINK WB would understand how important building that ensemble and familiarity with roles is.

To simply have Bale as Batman in a Justice League movie would be perfect to me. For years I have wanted to see this. For an actor to graduate from playing Batman to playing Batman in a Superman or Justice League movie. For it to be the culmination of all the years and anticipation and gathering all these actors in their respective roles together.

WB is pretty much killing that, but whatever. Shane Black is always right about studio execs.

i posted this about week ago
i had this really random and kinda wierd, dream last night about the JL, i don't remember a whole alot, but, one thing i do remember is that the name that came up as batman was something like "Ryan G...", i figure probably Ryan Gosling, (once agian this was just a random dream) but, could that work?

ok, now scared
(damn, I wish I remembered more of that dream lol)

No youngins.... please. The only person he could play would be.... The Flash. But that's it. Bale for Bats!

I would prefer they get Keaton back since the script indicated an older Batman...

Not that old....Anyways, I'm really confused now. First they were supposedly going for a young Batman, then they said Batman would be an older member, kind of a mentor for the rest of the League, so wich is it I wonder??

so, does no one else find my, dream (prediction), kinda eerie
(I mean, if this rumor has any truth to it)

Man, if Morena get WW then i'll flip. They are just reading fansites.
Joanne Kelly for WW.:woot: :woot:

Superman is second in command to Bats? Batman is WB's favorite son right now so it makes sense even though it will further highlight Nolan's lack of supervillain action in his series.

Ryan Gosling is an amazing actor, but he could never be Batman. They should, at least, try to get Gerard Butler. He is the only actor I can see playing Batman other than Bale.

Why is Batman the leader? That's Supman's job.
What Lane & Kent said.

I'm guessing it's studio politics, WB views Batman as more profitable than any of the others, even Superman, so they want to milk Batman's presence in a Justice League film as much as humanly possible, just as the X-Men films pretty much milked Wolverine for all he was worth to the point that by the 3rd film he was the guy rallying everyone together, being the glue holding everyone together, giving the not so great rousing the troops speech, etc. Y'know, stuff that CYCLOPS should have been doing except he got killed off and Storm, though #2 up for the leader job, didn't seem to feel like doing it.

Gosling is the best young actor around at the moment. But I don't think he could pull off Batman. Although alot of people, not me, did think the same thing about Ledger as Joker.
It seems WB, if true, are just after a name to attach to the movie.

Ryan Gosling is the best actor of his generation, whose name isn't Christian Bale. I read read that somewhere and thought it was cool and true. But, yeah, I don't think that he could pull off Batman very well.

People are complaining and this isn't even confirmed. I like Gosling, but he would fit Flash more. He can pull off batman in my opinion, but with Bale already in the role, I don't know how wise this is. I don't know, at first i was all for it, but i don't know anymore. I just need to hear some official news and then i can start making judgements.

not that I think he is a good casting choice but there is a hell of a lot more to a character than just his look.

keaton - looked nothing like batman but was a fantastic batman

clooney - looked great as batman but was a DREADFUL batman

Look at the guy's filmography. He's not going to do bats even if they really wanted him for the part.

Why is Batman the leader? That's Supman's job.

Superman may be the leader (thoug I would prefer Jon Jonzz as the leader for the JL) but Batman is always pulling the strings

oh, and a big NO to Gosling as Batman.

Although I hate the idea of there even being a Justice League movie, if your gonna cast for Batman, Ryan Gosling is not a bad choice at all. He's one of the best actors of our generation and I think if he bulked up he might be able make the transistion to Batman.

Batman really shouldn't be in the leader role for Justice League. He should have the attitude where he doesn't even want to be there in the first place.

Gosling's voice sounds like a nasal-pitched high school nerd. I dont know about him.

A great actor doesnt necessarily mean you'd be right for Batman.

He can work on it, at worst he'll sound like Bale. And he's da' Best Batman Evar..
