Ormond missed being Lara. I think I see Hippolyta as being a smidge more youthful looking. Though Julia's acting chops and screen presence make for quiet authority and strength. Not totally what I myself want, but a great heavy hitter name.

I like big bountiful breasts as much as the next guy, but what role has Monica played that makes this such a lock in so many eyes? I am only familiar with her from BROTHERHOOD OF THE WOLF, MATRIX RELOADED and SHOOT EM' UP. She has sex appeal in spades... But what is it that makes people look at her as a strong willed Warrior Queen and nurturing mentor figure? I'm curious.

I'd think Lena would be good, but you have to ask if SHE would want to do it. For modern actresses type casting is something they want to avoid. Still... I wouldn't have a problem with it.

I don't think any of them could convincingly play Gal Gadot's mother. Some of those names could've worked if we'd have gotten a different actress for Wonder Woman, but you have to cast Hippolyta with Gadot in mind

Their eye shape is almost identical head and eybrow shapes are similar as well but I digress.

Bellucci and Gadot at least look like they come from the same part of the world, even at best neighboring countries. Gadot and Connelly look like they come from completely different countries. I think that's what most people are getting at, not necessarily facial/physical similarities.

I think Connelly looks more like the original WW, Lynda Carter. Gadot reminds me of Natalie Portman.

As for the role of Hippolyta, Bellucci seems like the best fit.

Yup completely agreed.

All these suggestions mostly don't look enough like Gadot, and Gadot is most likely going to keep her normal accent for the role, so we also have to keep that in mind. Hippolyta's accent should naturally be similar to Gadots.
