Personally, I'm split whether I want Marvel to reagain the rights to their characters. Sure, that's where they belong, and it would be awesome to see so-and-so along with the Avengers.

But if that were to happen, first, there would be giant step down in the number of Marvel movies released each year. There's only so many a studio can make at a time. Also, I find the other studio's take on these characters interesting (First Class for instance).

Yes, there have been some down right crappy incarnations from other studios in the past. At the the same time though, Marvel studios haven't been releasing hit after hit after hit either. They are still a new studio at the end of the day.

I love the Marvel movieverse, and seriously cannot wait for the Avengers, but i'll also be enjoying Ghostrider, Wolverine, and Spider-man that same year. :cwink:

Actually, a DD sequel is currently very much in development at Fox, as the pages here at SHH and elsewhere have been diligently reporting in recent weeks.

The contracts state that films need to be "In Production" by the deadline date. That is significantly different than "In Development". In Production means it is actually filming (like The Avengers now). In Development there are some people on board "feeling it out". Many films in development do not get made.

So while DD could be in production within the year, it could also not be and revert back to Marvel.

The Superskrull is definatly under Fox's control, the Skrulls themselves are not.
Wand and Pietro are as far as I know also under Fox's control. There was a Feige interview where he basically confirmed this a couple of months ago.
I don't think that the first appearance in comic books is any indication where the character belongs to. Best example would be the Kingpin. He started as a Spidey villain, but Sony hadn't the rights to use him, instead Fox had.
Cool, thanks for the information.

I was just guessing, so I figured I was wrong.

Wolverine's probably not going to come out next year. It's suffered a bunch of delays.

Sorry My Friend. But no Amt petition is going to make these companies give up these characters up. The only that that would cause them to give em up is if it's PROFITABLE for them to give em up. Maybe a more realistic petition may be for them to some how come to some agreement to allow the characters to be included in the MCU

DD reverting back to Marvel *would* be a good thing. And would pave the way for Black Widow appearing alongside The Man Without Fear. Which is as it should be. :word:

I have started a Facebook page in the seemingly hopeless effort to raise awareness to voice comic fans plea to FOX, SONY, and NEW LINE to give back to MARVEL (Disney) the Intellectual Property (IP) rights in order to have back their identity.

If you'd like to join and add to the hopefully growing number, please do so. I will update any news regarding this issue at it occurs as well.

Gee, what's this:

http://forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=357545

You made the same thread twice in 2 forums. I am leaving the one in the Marvel Films Forum open (for now) and closing this one. Don't make anymore of these. That is spamming.
