Oh sorry for that, i am very bad at this things :(

Bad at this thing? You haven't even started. In science just remember that everything everyone says is a lie and if it seems true, you experiment, trying to prove it wrong. Find the truth and then try everything in your power to make things work. As they say in assassin's creed:

"Nothing is true, everything is permitted."

Science is alot like that.

Also, I've been at this on and off for a year. Wadaltmon has been on this for four years. We still don't have a full working thing yet. Don't get discouraged.

Btw how do you think the new web shooters works in the reboot?
The disk system looks very interesting...
I think they look pretty cool anyway and the movie looks good too, can't wait to see it :)

I see what you mean with the 1's and 0's but I figured out a different way. Thanks though.

Well, when you see it in the trailer, when it is first shown as a close-up, I noticed the middle red part has a spinning inside portion. Or maybe that's just me? Anyway, the red part lights up when he shoots; you can tell when he is shooting it at those criminals around the 0:39 mark in the trailer. I suppose that part that his thumb is touching in the close-up in the trailer is the canister, which threads up just before the red disc. I think it spins and 'slices' the web and flings it out through the nozzle at the front.

Anyway, I am beginning work on my formula. I am going to modify my original one, that I already posted pictures of, and try to make it be liquid in the canister. Also, my friend alerted me, after a Chemistry research project he did, that Pollonium is used in the composition of artificial nylon. Perhaps we can use this to our advantage.

Speaking of the canister, I plan to use one from a breath-freshening spray called Binaca. It is highly pressurized, I've gotten this 0.214 oz. can thing to shoot up to a foot away from the nozzle. It is cylindrical, about 4 inches long with about 3/8 inch diameter.

My current problem is the construction of a solenoid valve that will make outside air thread into the canister, and another one to make the fluid come out of the canister. Anyone got ideas on how to build these valves?

Yeah I've also been thinking about those red spinning disks but I could not figure out how they work, but your theory about how the disks slices the web sounds reasonable and I hope that they are showing a bit of how the web shooter works in the movie.

I hope you good luck with your web shooters since you've got many great ideas. About that Binaca thing, i have not heard of it before but i searched it up and it's a really smart idea, I hope it works.

Are you guys thinking about a web formula that actully hardens to some kind of rope
that you can after shooting actually can hold it in your hand?
Or just something that you shoot on objects and then hardens?

It depends on the guy. I want to make a rope, but so far I only have globs.

Nope!
My web-shooter is under revisions currently. Attempting to make a palm trigger. I'll tell you how that goes when I'm done. ;)

Sorry. I have a lack of camera/site to post pics on.

It looks KINDA like this.

And it is really that big? as in as big as a weed killer tank?

That's brilliant though. It's simple. The more simple it is, the less likely it is to break or require part changes.

or you can ise 2 huge co2 tanks like the kind attatched to paintball guns u know the gas tanks? take off the chord with the gun and then mount it onto a backback type thing , then get smallet tubes that can be attached to the gas tank that runs down your arm.

Thanks White Widow! I haven't seen your design recently...

Sure you have. It's a couple of pages back. It's the pvc cartridge with a modified valve. Every part of it is designed by professionals to contain pressure from liquids, it's cheap, and anyone can make it. The only reason I'm not is because I'm working on another project, and I don't want to blow any money on the web shooter until I finish this one.

I'm gonna stick to my design, Tyseg1cia, but it'd be cool if you made that!

White Widow: I can't believe I missed that! It looks neat! I usually mess up with PVC, that's mainly why I stuck to the week killer thing I cut off the wide-spray thing, just BTW, so that it would form a string-like thing. And greasing the tube worked okay, but I think I put too much grease in... :|

So I know I've been on radio silence for a while but.. I"ve been thinking of ideas/ new ideas for my web shooters. I'm really taking a lot of inspiration from the 2012 movie.. The way I have it, is I'm looking at these wristwatches.. Giant size..... almost but the nozzle or (time changer) for the watch is of realistic size.. SO I am continuing this project. I've haven't stopped so don't worry. :woot:

cool, can't wait to see what you come up with. Right now I'm stuck on making the web a foam or thin strands.

also gotta think about the when it dry's and gets stuck to the end of the nozzel ... just saying . silly string does that crap all the time !!!!!!! dont think it be much of a problem. but it might not let the web go out correctly. IVE ALSO BEEN THINKING OF THE 3 NOZZEL DESIGN MAYBE WHEN IT GOES THROUGH IT CAN SPIN ITSELF LIKE HOW U PASS THROUGH ONE OFF THE MACHINES AT LIKE DISNEYLAND OR SOMETHING AND U TURN IT , AND IT CRANKS ENERGY WHILE U PASS THREW. so u can like have it in a weird shape, so that when liquid passes threw it turns itself
