World Web shooter shop class

I think I've got the basic design all I need is to get the parts and make the shooter. For those who might need help I will post a list of parts and a arduino program .

I wish i had a 3d printer...with a 3d scanner. I would definately be implementing that with my jarvis house ai. lol

@white_widow You guys want to keep the actual trigger simple for now. Atleast until you can get the formula advanced enough. The trigger doesn't really need to be complicated anyways because complicity in the trigger part can lead to alot of misfires.

[edit] the most complicated thing you want on a trigger is a push sensor

oh I know. My point in saying that is that I think a sensor would be more effective than a mental control set.

My choice is a manual switch.

Has anyone taken a close look at the picture on parker's pov? Look here...
http://parkerspov.com/segment/
Look at the second picture. See that golden discus below the overall unit?
It implies that his pulse controls the unit. There is no need for a battery (the discus) until his pulse is too wild to control it.
How this would work? I have no idea. It could harvest the slight kinetic energy of his pulse pumping on his wrist? Or does it operate off of the electrical impulses from his brain to his wrist?

EDIT: Also, the third picture displays an "hour wheel". I have no idea how this relates, but it says it has something to do with "biorythmic input".

we still don't know where he stores the formula in those shooters Wadaltmon, so it's pretty difficult to figure out how to make that work.

Question - What is the end behavior of the web supposed to be? In the movies, you can see that it's a sort of cone, net shape. So how would the shooter be able to determine the end behavior of the web?

I noticed a post a while ago by White_widow that said faster RPMs = thinner web, and slower would result in a net. Could the spinneret spin slowly and then quickly change to a faster RPM to achieve the end behavior of a net? Would that work?

To iron spider: Yeah that would work in fact I'm putting that in my program. Also on a side note I found a old comic that shows the web shooters controls one quick tap fires a web ball, a long tap fires a webline like the one he swings on and a series of taps fires multiple webs at the same time creating a web pattern that real spiders make

We need a skype conference or something >.> if we were all doing this research together at the same time it would make this all easier.

Ok I think I have a feasible design. Can someone give me an opinion on it? The cartridge would hook onto a valve controlled by a microchip. the microchip would respond to a button that would be released into a spinneret that a motor would turn. From there it would be shot out of the shooter and would fly at it's target. Is that a good design or am I missing something?

awesome man how big would the motor be? and would the motor be Co2 powered. And did anyone else see the sneak peak of the new spiderman trailer where he saves the kid from the car. If you saw the trailer you would see three things, one that is the formula can hold the weight of a car. Two the formula didn't hurt the kid's skin or clothes. And three his web splatter into a mini spider web when he save the kid

The motor would be about 1cm by 1.5cm, it would be electric powered. And can you sow us the link to that trailer?

Hey I'm new here and I have loads of webshooter designs that I would like share.wadaltmon about that hour wheel it actually sends a vibration evertime he fires a web because of a mainspring inside it oh if you watch trailer 3 when peter is holding something rectangular with his tool thats the cartridge, trust me cause I just got the whole movie webshooter figured out(almost).

Interesting... one question: what is a mainspring?

Ok does anyone else see a problem with my design? I would like everyones opinion so my shooter be a waste of money.

A mainspring is a spring used for watch barrels it continously spins to move every single gear it also has a vibrating sound tryy checking wiki.Remember trailer when spiderman is pressing both sides of his webshooter yeah that is him inserting his cartridge(rectangle piece)at the back you can tell by the green light increasing and the red disk inside is a transistor for the touch sensor but the 1 thing I don't get is why does it spin it could be a turbine or it could work like a blender when it spins at a fast rate then the cool air hardens the webbing.Maybe thats why the web is a tranparent crystal like shape.

I feel like this would be a good place to send a good message.
Not only am i helping with the technical aspect of the shooters i am also my own appointed test dummy to see how strong the formula is when it is done and what it's limits are.
I do parkour some i'm quite familiar with the physics of my body and know the safety precautions to take when i'm in a dangerous situation and how to transfer energy properly.

Jumping rooftop to rooftop is common for substreet.

This is a video of a couple members of the team i run with in SC. I'm not in the video, but i would just like to remind people how far the body will go with a little discipline and training, and that it can go way farther than what is in this video. Parkour is not an extreme sport because the people who do it spends months-years training and know exactly what they're doing, so don't forget that.

I did some thinking and maybe the pellet chamber/cartridge could stay lock in its cavity the same way you insert your DS game card into your game console, like you push in the webshooter to insert and when its empty push it again to release the cartridge to switch to a new one.thhe shooter's mechanism works like this:when he contracts his wrist tendons and presses both touch sensor the copper wiring tract activates a solenoid valve the magnetic force also spins this spiral like motor(spiral=mainspring) and all the other gears including the hour wheel with mainsprings inside of them to give a vibration a that magnetic motor in the middle where there is a blade which spins at a fast rate to give of cool air to harden the webbing when release. Please tell me what you think guys could it work?

The disk could also be something like a spiraling chamber and the spiral gets tighter and tighter to increase the pressure of the fluid.

Interesting but just saying what if the webbing isn't release in the corresponding direction? by the way thats an idea I had last month of a mainspring spiral chamber, that was a great idea
