Be careful; wear eye, hand, and respiratory protection, it produces excessive heat and vapors for a few minutes or so. Do not swing from it yet! You may need to tweak it up a bit.

So we really need to discuss the formula, since the shooter is so close to being created.

So Wadaltmon came up with a pretty great formula, but it's too solid. I have a formula that can't be made without pro lab equipment (Well until nc hits the market) So what are the ideas that everyone comes up with?

It's very obvious that we need either cyanoacrylate or some new glue. It's been said that bacteria can turn a simple sugar into a glue that can hold 5 tons per square inch before losing grip, and peter parker in the comics said that he used contact cement, but for all intents and purposes, I think cyanoacrylate should be the glue.

Also we need a backbone polymer that is stronger than steel. It must either be shear thinning or dissolved in something that evaporates quickly.

Also, liquid magnesium would work, or salt dissolved in water.

I have been thinking more and more about one thing, it is really starting to bother me.
We need a formula where water has either a positive effect or no effect at all on the formula.
I live in a place where it rains quite a bit *cough Seattle cough*, and if it's raining and water makes the webs deteriorate, then it needs to be changed.

What if you used a hydrophobic substance to mix or bond into the formula? Like maybe using polyurethane? I don't know if it works, just an idea.

If you mix cyanoacrylate, then it shouldn't be affected with water once reacted.

I just had an idea... I'll draw it out and post it later. It has to do with the movie design and limiting propellant.

Here's just a little piece... Would it work if we just made a large coil, circling from the middle of the disk in the movie, spiralling around. It would gradually get thinner, thus compressing the fluid slowly without hazard? Then it would get to the end spinneret, and expand upon contact with air?

interesting plan. It's similar to a tesla coil, but with fluid instead of electricity. It has a pretty good chance of working too. Good idea!
