Infinity War Well...I Was Born Yesterday - The Vision Thread!

I will be sorely disappointed if there isn't a Thanoscopter reference.

You know damn well we're getting it - even if it's something as little as him eyeballing a helicopter and smirking.

I will treasure any reference to it.

of course he could be introduced in Captain Marvel and then turn up in Avengers 4

“He’s not in 'Infinity War'. But he will be a part of the future Marvel cosmic universe and a pretty important part of that [...] If he appears anywhere in the future, it’ll be in 'Guardians.'”

I suppose, Adam is a new villain for GOTG3.

I don't think Adam will be in IWs anyway. If these movies areculmination of everything in MCU adding Adam is lame. A guy we don't know in MCU is coming to save everything? No. Just No. Deus ex machina. Everything is started without Adam and everything should be ended without him.

So, Vision taking Adam's role is much better. It makes more sense.

I don't think it's worth introducing new hero characters this late. It's main event time now without time to focus on new guys.

you mean other than Captain Marvel and the Wasp who will be introduced between Avengers 3 and 4 unless they turn up in Infinity War...

Yeah. Introducing characters in other films that have time to focus on them is fine. I just don't want totally new characters that we haven't heard of yet take up much of IW's running time when they already have so much to do and so many characters who have to meet each other for the first time.

I think we might see him out of action when Thanos takes the stone but it doesn't mean he's gone for good.

Yeah, they foreshadowed that pretty well in Civil War. I wonder if that foreshadowing also hints at how Vision helps get the stone back from Thanos.

I really hope it works out like that with Vision playing a part in its retrieval. I also hope he really puts up a fight unleashing his powers fully when being forced to give it up.

Paul Bettany recently had some very encouraging things to say about my all-time favorite Marvel Comics couple. So did Lizzie Olsen and even Jeremy Renner. I've hoped to see Wanda & The Vision together on the big screen ever since I read the Kree/Skrull War when I was a little kid. The fact that I'm finally going to see that in a few short months is almost surreal. :ilv:

Avengers: Infinity War Has "Most Exciting" Plot For Vision & Scarlet Witch

Paul Bettany, who plays the Vision in Marvel Studios' shared cinematic universe, spoke briefly on Avengers: Infinity War tackling the romance that the superhero android shares with Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) in the Marvel comics.

“I think, for both Lizzie and I, it’s the most exciting plotline of each of us so far,” Bettany said at Wizard World Comic Con in Chicago. Bettany, who will undertake further filming on the project later this month, said the Avengers sequel is “the biggest production I’ve ever been on, ever.”

Set photos from April confirmed the developing Wanda / Vision connection, leading to Olsen speaking on the romance in July: "In any other world I would say, 'I don’t know,' but because there are paparazzi photos that kind of spoil things for fans – I think it’s safe to say that we now get to explore that part of the comic book," Olsen explained. "We get to introduce and really explore their relationship. It creates a really exciting arc for me and I’m so lucky I get to work with (Paul) Bettany all the time now."

When asked by Yahoo about the evolution of the relationship between Wanda and Vision, Olsen's Infinity War co-star, Jeremy Renner, was quick to joke the two Avengers are "in a cabin upstate," with Olsen adding, "making robot love."

Money says that Scarlet Witch brings him back to life with her powers, which emanate from the same stone.

To say that Vision isn't having a good time in the trailer would be an understatement.

In the scene where he's getting the stone ripped from his head, I wouldn't be surprised
if it gets prevented by Cap and Falcon showing up since the setting and lighting matches up with the leaks and then the on-location filming they did in Scotland.

So Paul Bettany is married to Jennifer Connelly and get to spend all the time shooting Infinity War with Elizabeth Olsen. He is the luckiest man alive.

Theory about Vision seen in human form in trailer:

He dies when the stone is ripped from his head, afterwards the human form is just a dream of Wanda's.

If Jennifer found out anything happened between the two, it would be ''activate instant kill'' for real. :o

I believe that the Vison will survive the removal of the Mind Stone from his head. In Wakanda it will be replaced by the solar gem he has in the comics. After that, he will be solar-powered.

I really hope Vision doesn't die in either Avengers IW or 4. great character from the comics, great casting choice in Bettany and so far, we haven't even scratched the surface of his story potential in the filns

I agree people are just in such a rush to kill him off so soon yuck no thanks.

I’m glad he’s getting a significant part in these films but I definitely want to see more Vision after Avengers 4.
