It was driving me F-ing nuts trying to figure out what a BTS pic was.

You are speaking of initialisms, not acronyms. Acronyms are able to be spoken like NATO. Initialisms are a form of abbreviation and cannot be spoken like PBS.

I just google it. Like 'SCUBA meaning' will return a result right near the top. Even works for weird net jargon like BISLY and BTHOOM.
