Were the deaths in X3 really so awful?

I think that would have been a cop-out ending to her sub-plot. Audience may not like that she took the cure, but it makes sense for her to do so. The problem is the Cure was mostly portayed as a cure for being different/member of a discriminated minority, even though that simply doesn't apply to Rogue's situation.

I do not think it makes sense for her to do at all. I get that she has teen issues but give her a few years and she will really regret the choice she made.

The need for physical contact (without protective measures taken regards every hug, kiss etc) is not just a teen issue. Nor is her possible desire to give birth to and nurture children at some point of her life. And it's not like Rogue is some significant public figure of the mutant community. She doesn't need to keep her powers in order to make some kind of political statement about issues that, like I said, had nothing to do with her decision.

I would just disagree. If I was in her shoes I would have done everything I could have to keep her power...

But I guess that is just the Sylar in me.

But if someone like her existed in the real world, a cure might seem a very attractive idea.

Would you go through life without being able to touch or kiss anyone?

For a few years I thought that would be my life....:woot:

Of course I would not. But that is only because I know I have not got the power. If I had the power I would have to use it for good....it would be a waste to me you see.
