Days of Future Past What about the music?

Hmmm...nope. Don't like it.
But maybe I'll get used to it.

Eh, it would be better if they go for a song from the 60's but heck if it is playing during the credits then I probably would have left already so it wouldn't have matter. :oldrazz:

Yeah, I was expecting a song with a 60's vibe, but this one sounds too much like early 80's...

Well, lord knows if it's associated with the movie, I'm buying it. We're sure it's just for the credit roll, right? I can't stand when music with vocals are used to score a film. It's entirely different if it's being played on the radio, but if it's musically framing a scene? I'm not down with that. Unless it's a period piece... but not this type of period piece. I want entirely original music the whole way through. As you can see, I'm pretty particular about my movie music.

I agree. Superhero films moved way past the days when they would play Evanescence during a training montage and I prefer it that way.

Stuff like that is usually extremely distracting and that's usually detrimental to getting the audience immersed into the film. Unless it's done EXTREMELY well.

Yeah, I watched Daredevil a few weeks ago for the first time in years, and I couldn't believe how much Evanescence was played throughout the movie.

people just love to ***** it seems. Kick-Ass had Mika and that turned out good.

Give Vaughn the benefit of the doubt, he knows his **** when it comes to music and I'm fairly certain this movie will be great in that department.

true. But if the word fits ...

This excessive censorship always amused me. These are words that EVERY SINGLE USER on this board most likely knows, words that are used in day to day conversations and they're not that offensive to begin with. Acting like we're supposed to be clerics is just an exercise in hypocrisy.

But hey, rules are rules.

You're right. And we, the moderators, very rarely have a hand in making them. We just have to enforce them.

This post has been edited again by me....DO NOT POST LINKS TO UNCENSORED CURSING.

And honestly, it shouldn't be that difficult to make the slightest attempt to choose words more carefully. :cwink:

The SHH forums have way too many rules and way too many mods in relation to the number of users here, IMO.

This thread is not for giving our opinions on the Superhero Hype! Staff, so, get let's get back on topic.

I think we heard some of Jackman's score in the CIA clip. Only lasted a few seconds, but it fit the scene well.

it was so reminiscent of X2. Loved it.

Those few seconds reminded me more of X3 than X2, but let's face it, if it sounds anything like any of the movies in the trilogy I'll be happy.

The complete Love Love by Take That, written for the movie:
[YT]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIqLBaaxYY8[/YT]

These lyrics are written surely for the movie:
We'll take you right back down to the earth from the mother land
This is a First Class journey from the Gods to the son of man
You're at the gates of Human Evolution don't you understand
Why don't you understand

The song is pretty. Sure, isn't a '60s vibe :woot:

But, well, Matthew Vaughn knows this: songs helps a lot a movie at Box office because Take That's fans and people who don't know anything about the movie and they'll hear/see (in a music video) the song will knows automatically the movie.

It's marketing, guys. And Vaughn knows how to make his movies worked at BO (remember Take That -> Stardust, Mika -> Kick-Ass).
