What can DC/WB do now to move forward? Is there hope? - Part 1

^ I say this...

Aquaman is happening. Good. Do the Flash inbetween AM and WW part II..maybe instead of retconning BvS just kind of ignore it-hey it worked with Marvel's Spider-Man.

WonderWoman II happens. Maybe it's the DCEU's "Dark Knight lite." Introduce cameos (nick fury style) of the regular justice league members in part three (preferably Batman and the Flash.) Have that Batman solo-but have him meet a new Superman at the end-maybe with a beard. "Why didn't you show up?" "I was busy."

Then have the Justice League movie happen...and have Brad Bird be the one to procrastinate Incredibles 3 with this movie. I can dream, right?

Realistically speaking, have Michelle Maclaren direct it, that way it can be a grand-scale superhero movie she wanted, while giving her the chance to use Wonder Woman.

I say swap out Cyborg for a Green Lantern, keep WW/Aquaman, use the new Batman and introduce Superman in this version, perhaps doing something extremely heroic.

I liked how X2 alternated between Wolverine's personal issues and the grand scheme to wipe out the mutants. I feel like Justice League can focus on maybe a single character..at this point, I'd be more than fine with WW, though they like their Batman, and have the B plot be the super-bashing movie.

And then they shouldn't do a phase 2 at all. I believe they should just do solos for 6-7 years, until it becomes near impossible to NOT work on a JL movie.

In a bold move, I'd like a Kingdom Come movie, right before they decide to move all their characters to TV. This could be in the year 2028 for what I care :)

It's been my dream that the DCEU would end in a full-blown (maybe even over two movies) of Kingdom Come with the same actors actually older or suitably 'aged up' Personally I'd love it to be directed by Zack Snyder. I feel it's made for him. Can't see that very last part happening though!

I would advise AGAINST Flashpoint. Spending hundreds of millions of dollars on a movie that just acts as a bridge between what was and what will be is a stupid idea. Just make new damn movies. As it is hardly anybody cares about the DCEU anymore so why bend over backwards to make everything connect? It's not that hard to just make new movies and have people accept the new reality.

Yeah. That's pretty much how I feel at this point. The reputation the franchise has is so bad right now that I really doubt very many people are gonna be angry if there's a genuinely good DC movie that comes out but contradicts stuff from Man of Steel or Justice League or something.

Kingdom Come directed by

George Miller and Bruce Timm

Screenplay by Paul Dini

Story by Mark Waid

Cinematography by Larry Fong

Art Direction by Zack Snyder

FX by WETA

With a score by Howard Shore

Special Thanks:

Peter Jackson and Bruce Timm

Produced by Patty Jenkins.

Starring:

Tim Daly as Superman

Kevin Conroy (He'll look the part when his hair turns white.) but if they need a bigger name for the role, I think Keaton would be really cool to see.

Ayelet Zurer's about the right age now, but she looks younger. In about ten years, she'd be good for this older WW. I can't see Gal looking world-weary, though her habit of smoking might catch up.

Spectre-James Spader. Because I'm lazy.

Riddler-Christian Bale. Just for the irony.

Theatrical cut:

Rated PG-13 for extended scenes of peril, some violence, and heavy thematic elements.

Extended cut: R.

Release date: March 25, 2029 :)

I won’t accept anyone as Kingdom Come Batman aside from Keaton
