What DCU superhero(es) do you want to see before Smallville ends in 2009?

I would like to see a young homeless boy witness Clark's Heroics and befriend him.
There would also be this mysterious dude saving people Clark style, Clark would think that he is Kryptonian too. Few episodes later it is revealed that the mysterious dude and the little boy whom Clark befriend and provided shelter too are one and the same. "SHAZAM"

I suggested Captian marvel a while ago. I think it would be a cool story if Lois caught a glimpse of Clark using his powers but couldn't tell who it was and goes all out trying to find out. She gets close to proving it was him then CM uses his powers in front of her while Clark is there. CK gives her his pantented goofy smirk and says "still think it was me lois?" She gets all frustrated and she goes back to the drawing baord.

Also the story would revolve around a powerful villian who's after Billy Batson. Clark is trying to protect him but Billy is reluctant to recieve help because he doesn't want Clark to get hurt. Then he sees Clark fight the Bad guy off once and they become friends. Near the end the villian finds out about kryptonite and nearly defeats CK. He turns to Billy and says run but Billy steps between him and the villian and says "Don't worry Clark, SHAZAM I've got this!" and the climactic fight scene is on.

No it wasnt really about the flash movie(which now is stalled) they were not allow to use the flash name due to copyright tieups and they where not able to use him being flash which is pretty funny when you think about it cause after they had bart in smallville in the comics he became the flash for awhile. So that is why they had to go and use his impluse codename.

Actually, I remember from some interview they were saying that DC was being forceful, and since they used Bart Allen, they had to call him Impulse, which was what Bart was going by at the time....

I was under the impression the disaster movie attempt was the reason all those naming rights were tied up.

as for syncos, Justice was when they told them to use Impulse IIRC, 2006. At that time he was The Flash in the comics. He hasn't been impulse since 2003

You would think WB having all the characters would be great for crossovers but it seems almost as bad as Marvel having their rights all over the place!!

Hal Jordan had been perfect for next hero on smallville, it give's us the green lantern and this charachter has never been on a real show before rather than some anmitated and a failure pilot. so it would not be that hard to have the rights for the charachter plus having him as an hero with alien power will be a good story line for the show as what we so with maxima. plus it awsome if green arrow was in the episode too like the comics green lantern and green arrow are "best freinds"

I can understand why no Bats, I mean he does actually have a movie franchise right now, but I am still irritated that WB/DC say no to WW. She doesn't have a movie franchise right now, nor will she in the next couple of years, so wheres the harm? And don't give me rights being tied up.

Wouldn't I want more exposure of WW (comics, cartoons, TV shows), wouldn't this help your movie?

When you give the rights to someone to make a movie they general have the exclusive live action rights for a number of years so the comic company can't just sell the rights again to another company until that first contract is up. However since WB and DC are both part of the same company and it appears that only the WB is getting rights to make DC movies the rights aren't really the issue. It's more about over exposure. So in the case of Batman where they are in the middle of a series of Batman movies they don't want the character popping up all over the place and stealing the hype from the movies, but in the case of Wonder Woman where they have only toyed with the idea of making a film and aren't even close to beginning anything not allowing her use else where is just stupidity.

yea most fans probably understand why we cant have batman but with all the dam trouble they have gotten with trying to get ww out in live action again they should have let smallville take a crack at her and see how the general/comic fans feel about her in smallville and all that and if its a good viewing then get the ball really rolling for film.

the mighty thor, you got to remember first characters like batman/wonder woman/and now green lantern is off limits due to films in the works or other reasons. Then secondly its all about what characters are not tied up in any legal issues. Sure wonder twins are goofy characters but i am not going to shoot them down fully to i see their episode first. Sure i wish we could have batman or wonder woman. But there is still tons of good picks they could go with.

well as i said we dont know all the reasons behind why certain heroes have been picked over others besides batman/ww reasons. All we can hope for is any of the heroes appearances on the show to end up being good.

Dennis Haysbert playing Darkseid is a very good choice. But I would think it may cost them a bit more than ususal to get the guy. Personally I want Darkseid is some shape or form in season 10 (if there is one). Hes my #1 DC villianand if hes doesn't show up, I don't think I will ever see him in live action. The increase in budget has given me some hope that it could work even if its just for 1 episode. Hell it could be a stand alone episode in the mid-season.

well i said before how i would happen darskeid. First i would have granny goodness or dasaad come to earth via boom tubes. They set up things and maybe play into that whole intergang deal from the comics. Then for a few episodes we only hear them comunicating with darkseid, so at that point we only hear his voice. Then either at mid season finale episode or at the finale 2-3 episodes darkseid physically appears on earth.

Visually i dont think they would have much trouble making him look good. First they would probably just use a stunt actor in suit like doomsday monster form. Maybe bring back the guy who was in the doomsday suit. Then Say if the doomsday suit still is around in the studio. Maybe modify it with some cloths/helmet thing and bam you got darkseid.

Darkseid has to be the villian in season 10 if it's the last season, which it should be. He's already in costume now to a degree and I'm sure they will have him in the suit in some form. I think Smallville is really trying to please the fans but I actually think it's WB that has all these freakin restrictions on the suit and characters which is stupid. If Marvel had a tv show, there's no question they'd have crossovers becuase the characters would be under one house. Heck in the Blade tv show, Moon Knight was set to show up but it got freakin cancelled! I don't understand why WW or GL can't show up on Smallville when Green Arrow is set to play in Supermax in his own movie. Just another reason why I say WB is just as bad as Fox when it comes to superhero properties.

yea the restrictions on some characters are silly more so when characters are not going anywhere for films like wonder woman, as for green arrow i doubt that GA film is going to happen any time soon.
