so im sure there are a few things or tiny nitpicks that we possibly dont like from the film so far. The only thing im disliking so far is the possible connection between bane and the los but thats minor

John Blake possibly being batman. John blake being in the film at all (Major made up character).

another thing for me is the possibility of bruce being retired by the start of the film

- Bane possibly being an LOS employee
- The deja vu of the whole LOS thing with another destroy the city plan and an Al Ghul pretending to be someone they're not
- Catwoman not having claws or a whip, and not even being referred to as Catwoman at all when all the other villains got their iconic names mentioned at least once
- Batman possibly retiring at the end

- Earthquake machine.
- Possibly having anyone other than Bruce as Batman.
- TDK Batvoice is apparently still in use.
- Catwoman not having a cowl.
- Catwoman's stupid high heels.
- Catwoman carrying a gun instead of a whip.

Regarding Bane and the League:
I really dont have anything against it, and really who are we to judge it before we've even seen it. But here are my thoughts anyways:

What I like about it: Assuming Miranda Tate is actually Talia Al Ghul, and Bane has some sort of connection to her and the LoS, that would certaintly bring the Batman's story "full circle", since it harkens back to Begins and how the League and Ra'as unknowingly planted the seeds that made Batman who he was.

What I dont like about it: Part of me feels that involving the League again is sort of just recycling old material from a previous movie. Because in some ways I want each film to be its own, stand-alone Batman story. Honestly though, this is a SMALL complaint. It's just personal preference at this point.

Ultimately it comes down to this: If you prefer to view each movie in the trilogy as its own separate story in Nolan's Batman universe then you may not be thrilled with the League being brought up again.

Alternatively, if you want to look at the The Dark Knight trilogy as a continual story arc, then you'll likely have no problem with the League, you may even be pleased with it.

The thought of JGL in a Batsuit haunts my dreams. Love the guy, and from what I have seen of him in the film; he looks like he's on his A-game. But having someone else take up Bruce's mantle seems to be so out of place. I mean the time it would take for Bruce to properly train someone to be capable of being a suitable replacement, that's pretty much an entire movie right there.

Anyways, John Blake being the new Batman is my biggest worry.

thats why i think these rumors of bruce retiring at the end is bs...bruce was special when ras found him...nobody can just take up the mantle of that responsibility and in many cases bruce is a little crazy himself with having the idea to dress up as a bat n fight crime...the guys a nut n belongs in arkham in a cell with the joker lol......now...it would be strange for him to be retired at the beginning n then retire at the end again

I don't know how much they will retcon their own fiction established in the past two movies but the danger is there. Anything that comes close to "Sandman killed Uncle Ben" in the film is going to really gall me.

I've complained enough in the past about the prologue being too uninspired, and that the film is just perhaps maybe too overstuffed with characters and concepts. I don't feel like recalling my long list of other complaints. Some of them with were superficial, like when the Selina Kyle on the batpod pic came out last August, I hated the bright lights on the eyewear.

Unless you view the film as him coming back for one last hurrah rather than an actual return to fighting crime as he's done in the past. It's really not that big of a deal.

which basically means he was batman for only a year then since bb and tdk are a year apart story wise

That's their version, yeah. But he experienced a lifetime's worth of struggle and trauma, though...so it's all relative.

I don't think you have to worry. :woot:

Agree with you 100%. Even if it wasnt JGL, and it was some actor I love to death, I dont want ANYONE trying to take up the title of The Dark Knight.

Think about it. What do we even know about JGL's character, I mean what has he done to make him worthy of being the next Dark Knight? What hardships has he had to face?

Just look at Bruce's resume here. He had to :
- Witness his parents be murdered in front of him
- Travel the world to understand the criminal mind
- Survive for weeks in a filthy prison camp
- Go through brutal training with a league of master assassins
- Master his fears
- Fight against freaking LIAM NEESON and actually WIN
- Confront and fight anarchy itself (Joker)
- Fight the mob
-Construct your own badass weaponry and gadgets
-Live with dual identities
- Destroy any chance of having a real social life by choosing to be Batman
- Basically sacrifice yourself for the good of Gotham (end of TDK)

And John Blake's resume may look something like this:
- Made a couple of arrests
- Some police training
- Gave out some speeding tickets (keep in mind, he got a freaking PAPER CUT while giving one out)
- Ate some donuts

So JGL: Stay away from TDK'S mantle! :cmad:

John Blake swallows a pill, and suddenly he has access to millions of dollars, goes a bit mentally crazy, and has years worth of martial arts training and becomes Batman. He lives in Wayne Manor and uses the Batcave and Alfred and Lucius Fox and Wayne Enterprises helps him with their tech. Title Card: The Dark Knight Rises. The credits roll.

Nah, don't think so.

Besides the the whole John Blake thing (which seems increasingly unlikely the more I think about it), I really can NOT think of anything else that bothers me :yay:

Now if only I could say that about life lol :oldrazz:

I partially blame DC Comics and their stupid-ass fan-fiction they publish for the JGL becomes Batman garbage.

Probably not. But the thought of it. Jeez, kinda ruined my day now thinking about it.

I would almost welcome it out of morbid curiosity....or better yet, a Robin outfit. :D
