I thought it was good, but some of it seemed off. The Mohinder/Sylar stuff seemed super rushed, especially with Sylar appearing at the end. I also dont see how the terrorist storyline would have kept going. All in all, it was good, but I'm glad they went with Genesis as the premire episode.

I really liked the extended pilot, but I can see why they cut some stuff in the interests of being family-friendly. The only real thing I can remember that they changed was that Isaac cut his own hand off in order to draw the explosion mural.

What else was different?

the police officers (forgot his name) wife was played by a different actress and the blonde female agent didnt really appear in the original pilot.

Parkman's wife was hotter.

well i dont remember if they showed it on the extended pilot or i think it was just only in the deleted scenes of DL in Prison.
And i thought the terroist Story would of been just the same as Teds story in a way

I don't know. Cause I'm not buying the regular DVD of Heroes until they put on alllllll the special features.

its obvious the terrorists were gonna be ted i like the way they went better would have been like 24 or something like that.

I saw a version of the pilot that had no terrorists, but also had Isaac cutting off his own hand.

It'd be awesome if heroes picked up that strange truck thread somewhere else later.

The 72 minute Tim Kring pilor that's on the HEROES dvd.

Are you referring to the extras that are on the HD DVD version, but not the DVD version?

If so, you're going to be waiting forever. The exclusive features found on the HD DVD version are simply not possible on standard DVD.

Just get an HD DVD player and the HD DVD version of "Heroes"! ;)

It's AMAZING! :D

That's all I noticed

Um... an entire subplot and a brand new character. Hell, two new characters if you take into account the fact that Parkman didn't appear until the second episode when they broadcast it.

Personally, i'm glad they made the change. Ted was cool, and i really dont think i'd want to watch two shows about terrorist plots in the same night (same timeslot, DVR'd one of them)

One thing i'm curious is how Matt and Amid (the terrorist) knew eachother. I wonder where they were gonna take that.

I admit the pilot was alot darker, but I didn't like the whole terrorist angle; we had enough of that from 24.

The story line we got was alot better I think.

I thought it was good, but I liked the pilot that actually aired better. The terrorist plot felt too much like a 24 plot shoved into a superhero setting. Ted was a much better character.
