Moore is my favorite Bond. Whenever i hear the name 'James Bond', Moore comes to mind.

My point was that the Duke wasn't moving like a trained killer either but he could. Roger Moore Bond was too cool to look worried. And as it turned out, he didn't have to worry.

Now it's time to get a drink and bang 3 chicks in one movie.

Wayne was never meant to be a trained killer, Moore was, he acted more like a fashion model and was a horrible screen fighter, which loses the art of illusion these movies require.

but didnt this really start with the first craig movie? thats why i refused to see either of his movies, hes not james bond. they need to get back to basics, as in, NOT scrapping who james bond is and what makes him cool, but embracing his original tone but with still keeping with the classic bond things like:
.

Wait...you've never seen the movies but you're going to try and criticize them? I'm sorry, but your opinion is completely moot to me. Nothing annoys me more then when people criticize something they've never seen. That just comes across as ignorant. If you haven't seen either of Craig's Bond movies, then you're just listing off complaints you've heard from other people, without having any basis in it other then it being what you've heard.

How about actually seeing something before bashing it? Jeez.:whatever:

I really don't miss anything.

Maybe new hot Moneypenny.

Illusion? We're talking about a franchise that has :

killer midgets
bowler hats that can kill you
Giants with metal teeth
women who can kill you with their thighs
a guy with a bullet in his head that makes him impervious to pain
a guy with diamonds stuck in his face
a man hording all the gold in the world
hot nuclear scientists
rocket eating rockets
sky diving into planes
superstrong Walkens
underwater aston martins
diamond lazer defense systems
invisible cars

and

Grace Jones.

I think we'll pretty much believe anything at this point.

Doing superman-like things and having silly plots is still presented as fathomable inside the universe they choose to set the movies in, I am talking about watching a guy fight who looks for all intents and purposes like a waiter ***** slapping ppl over a tip, as opposed to a guy that can kill you with one strike.

Isn't the whole point of the Moneypenny character is that she is seen as the girl that will never get with Bond, because she's NOT hot....? She's supposed to be the plain jane who fantasizing about being the hot girl that Bond wants...

She's usually hot underneath her dirty librarian facade. She's supposed to be the girl that James can't get. Ironically though Moneypenny offers him the prize if he would just commit to her. But alas that is the one thing Bond can't do.

Even though he'd like to.

The 'Maxwell' Moneypenny was always throwing herself at Bond; he'd flirt with her, but it was more of a playful thing if anything. The Moneypenny that came along during Dalton's run was practically begging Bond to **** her. Now Samantha Bond's Moneypenny that was there during Brosnon's run kinda flipped it a bit. Bond seem to want her cause she'd play hard to get. I like Samantha's portrayl of the character the best.

To some degree, this debate reminds me of the debate currently taking place on the Batboards about Batman: R.I.P., which seems like it will make major changes to DC Batman. Traditionalists are raging against these mootted changes, saying there are things you don't mess with or you undermine the fundamental aspects of the character which make him so appealing to successive generations. Then we have modernists who assert that these universes need to evolve and not be trapped in the past, not to be stuck in a rut telling the same stories over and over again.

I see both sides point of view, but I side with the modernists. We've all seen Sean Connery's and Roger Moores' interpretations - now let's see something new for the 21st century. Personally, I think the best thing QoS did was introduce QUANTUM, as, done right in the next few movies, this will be SCEPTRE for the 21st century - Bond, with a twist.
