I just thought of the possibilty that marvel will throw a curve ball and have Peter join no sides of the war. Think about it, we're all expecting Spidey to go crawling back to captain america and join the resistance. But i dont think its gonna go that way exactly, its what marvel wants us to think is gonna happen. I think Peter's gonna go completley vigilante and join no sides making him neither pro reg nor resistance. This would be very interesting, it would be like the good ol days where Spidey didnt take orders from nobody. what do you guys think?

Yes and no...

He's switching sides... He knows which side he's going to be rooting for, and what he believes in. He's gone ot the other side.

But fact of the matter is most people will see that he used to be Tony's lackey, and saw him with he government, people won't forget. Also, he's become a traiter... He's gonna make people feel uncomforable.

At th end of the day, they're going back to making Spidey the loner character he used to be. I think it's a bit extreme, but I like it. It'll be back to how it was in the 60's and 70's

I don't really see how someone could avoid "choosing" a side. I mean, you either register, or you don't. You can't really kinda register.

Or perhaps I'm just not thinking outside of the box enough...

He might be on the side that ends the fighting.

Aloha,
The Thing did just that. He's out of it.Spidey could do like the Thing, but I doubt it. Also, there are so many heros who have looked up to Spidey that his going to the of the government and then leaving, will just give those people more to repect about him. He tried but found out that it wasn't worth it.

He's switching sides... hahaha just kidding. three cheers for triple post.

Yeah, he'll probably be a loner again which I find kinda annoying. I liked that he finally had some friends again. When was the last time they wrote Spidey some friends? Randy Robertson? Billy Walters? Blech. And then I hate how almost condescending he comes off towards all his "regular" friends because of his duty. It seems like he can actually open up to other heroes because "they get it", which was one of the things I liked about his brother relationship with Ben Reilly (woot!). And MJ started developing more of a personality when she could openly talk about Peter w/ other Avengers.

Now it's just gonna be Peter, MJ, and May again. Flash is a *****ebag. Peter's not really around the Bugle cast anymore. Harry Osborn and Ben Reilly are dead. MJ doesn't do anything except change into lingerie. And Aunt May SHOULD be dead and she's like a mom (Spidey and his Mom! YAY!).

BORING.

Amen, Freemadison, Amen. I personally think Spidey should stop being a loner for a while and have a partner fighting crime with him, sort of like Ben Reilly. someone he could relate to. But hell, everyone wants Peter to be a loner so...

he probably WILL want to be neutual in the cw:spidey
besides the SHRA is unconstitutional in the fist place

Really? Would that make Spidey switzerland?
I mean to really not take sides yoou'd have to be like Ben and move to Canada.

How ever I think this is an opertune point to point out that Tony is committing a crime right now. Huh? you say, Ok, I'll give you the you have to register or be put in jail thing, and I'll give you the jail isn't on american soil and these are combatants of the state so they have no rights to go to trial. How ever, Pete is registered and he was just thinking about switching sides. The only thing he's done so far is try to leave Avenger's tower. He has comitted no crime. So Tony had no right to attack him. You can not be convicted for thinking about breaking the law. So Tony is more a villian here than ever.

IMO....they are portraying Iron Man kinda like a villian on par with Dr. Dooom in some ways...out of character it seems to me...tho i am not a fan, so i am not as up in arms over that....BUt....

...Spidey has been transforming more and more into the Super Inept Waffle Man....in Civil War especially...it seems there is no understanding of him in this publicity stunt let alone in his own series...it must be open game to write Spider-Man any way you want, continuity down the drain!

waaaaaaaaffle maaaan, golden crispy bad guys are history yaaaah. he comes armed with his iron of justice and his truth syrup

What if Pete gets shot in the head by Punisher? Then who'll keep Marvel afloat?

like i mentoned before pet 's suffering from either multiple personality syndrome or post traumatic stress syndrome after nearly dying in the other after all spidey's been through i'm suprisedhe didn't get ptss LONG AGO:spidey:

Realistically Peter would probably opt to stay out of the war to avoid watching anymore of his comrades die, but a.) we're already getting that story to a point with the Thing and b.) he's a major player in the story so I doubt they'll take him out of play.

That's what I'm thinking--he'll either try and stop the war altogether, or focus away from it and try to handle the rampant amount of crime happening because the heroes are too busy beating the s**t out of each other.

And because of this, what we've heard, and the Turner cover for #5, I'm thinking that maybe Spider-Man might join forces with The Punisher to do either one.

Anyone else see a connection between Civil War and the war between the Olympians and the Titans in Greek myth?

no it reminds me somewhat of star wars though

yea it is pretty much confirmed he is going to the anti side now. After all the events in civil war and amazing issues

Yeah, I'll just say Aunt May to be specific.
