What If's You'd like to read

Thanks for liking them, sometimes the What ifs were really far out there though.
They were just fun ideas that would never really happen but fans might liker to see.
In fact I loved those alternate realities and the more far out is sometimes the more fun.
(also I took the Punisher Ghost Rider from a cover of Marvel Knights Millenial Visions comic)

What if Dr. Strange shaved his mustache off?

What if Tony Stark shaved his goatee back into a mustache or shaved it all off?

Thanks.

Warning, the following What Ifs may be spoilers from Civil War.

What if the Daredevil operating during Civil War turned out to be Nick Fury?

What if Iron Man, instead of Captain America, was seen as a traitor and un-American and was arrested after Civil War?

What if Captain America became Thor?

What if Goliath wasn't killed during Civil war?

What if Thor wasn't a clone but the real deal during Civil War?

What if the Pro- Registration had the Thor clone robot while the Anti-Registration had the real Thor?

What if Spider-Man never revealed his identity?

What if Punisher became the Ghost Rider?

costume and shield?

What if Winter Soldier became the new Captain America?

What if Falcon became the new Captain America?

What if Steve Rogers never came back to life?

What if Sharon Carter became the new Captain America?

What if Iron Fist pretended to be Captain America?

What if Hawkeye became the new Captain America (not connected to Iron Man) until Steve returned?

What if Hawkeye became Iron Man's new Captain America?

What if Tony Stark actually was a Skrull?

What if Captain America had turned out to be a Skrull after he was shot?

What if the whole tragedy that caused the Civil War was avoided from the begginning?

What if Captain America didn't turn himself in at the end of Civil War? What if the Civil war continued to this day and beyond?
I am thinking of a Days of Futures Past type thing.

Thanks for liking them, its fun to think up what ifs.

OK, and now a real one:

We probably have all heard the story of how Stan Lee created Spider-Man.
And how the studio told him that kids can't be superheroes and people don't like bugs and he can't have real problems.

So here are some what ifs about that:

What if Spider-Man was a bulky adult like Captain America, and was drawn by jack Kirby?

What if Spider-man was named something less offensive to the public, maybe something that didn't mention bugs?

What if Spider-Man had no real problems, like rent, school, family troubles, and so on?

What if Spider-Man's costume was more like Superman's or Batman's or Captain America's?
(showing more of the face, eye holes, a belt, underwear, and son on.)

What if Marvel did the Doomsday story?
Who would be Superman?

What if Galactus was zapped into the DC universe?
(Where Oa, Apocalypse, the New Gods' planet, the living Green Lantern planet, Earth, Earth 2 and so on live)?

What if Peter Parker never went to live with Aunt May and Uncle Ben?

What if Gwen Stacey was more fun for Stan Lee to write than MJ?
What if Stan Lee never introduced MJ into the picture at all, and kept it only Gwen?

What if the chemicals that made the Green Goblin didn't make him insane?

What if Peter was injected with the chemical that turned Osborne into the Green Goblin?

What if Uncle Ben was brought back from the dead?

What if Gwen was brought back from the dead for real this time?

What if Peter was bitten by a radioactive dog?

What if Norman Osborne was bitten by a radioactive spider?

What If... What If Xavier didn't discriminate between mutants and mutated humans?

As the world expands around him he believe that cutting his students off from humans will only help to strengthen Erik's way of thinking, which is the last thing he wants. So, shortly after Jean joins his boys, Xavier introduces himself to Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four, suggesting that perhaps they could join forces.

It quickly spirals outward, more and more "Students' and "Teachers" are collected into the school, which changes it's name in honor of the world's first mutant. "The Namor McKenzie School For Advanced Learning".

Peter Parker toyed with the idea of joining the school, but ultimately was one of the few hold outs that never became a part of it.

The School's greatest success and failure was Bruce Banner. For years they helped Bruce tame the monster within himself. Xavier tries valiantly to mend Banner's fractured psyche, but as in our universe, telepaths trying to force a broken mind together find they have sown the seeds for great distruction.

With the school's massive staff and student body, they are able to easily sweep aside many threats that would ordinarily have been great problems. With Reed Richards, Xavier, and Banner working on the case, Apocalypse is easily stopped, though the two horse men he was able to gather (War: She-Hulk, Death; Sergie Kravinoff) were mentally broken. She-Hulk, now stronger than she'd ever been, and wearing a dark olive skin, rather than her usually radiant green, must be restrained as Xavier attempts to mend her mind as well.

Krakoa was handled by the original team of X-men first, but they were captured, just like in our reality. Next the Fantastic Four arrived, along with the Silver Surfer. after Battling the island, and freeing their friends, the Surfer sent Krakoa into space using the power cosmic.

Things began to fall apart after that. with all three Summers brothers reunited, they thought it would be a wonderful time of peace, but quickly the different groups united against them began to attack in succession: Doom, the Brotherhood, Hellfire Club. To make matter's worse, they were on the Avenger's watch list. Tony believed it suspicious that they were "Amassing" meta-humans of such high levels. Tony dissolved the "Avengers", stating that their purpose was wrong. He reformed them as the "Defenders". His team line up was that of Himself, Captain America, Dr. Pym, the Wasp, U.S. Agent, and occaionally Dr. Strange. Tony never commented to Steve's remarks that the team was entirely humans and devoid of meta-humans and mutants.

Fearing the storm that was brewing as Tony started collecting more and more human heroes of great power, Dr. Strange also called together a group. Himself, Thor, the Surfer, Namor (Who found the school humorous), Moondragon, and the mutant Angel (who had grown estranged ever since his feelings for Sue Storm had grown, despite her marraige to Reed.). this group called themselves the Champions, given their generally high levels.

They were correct to prepare as it seemed all damns broke at once. Jean, Jen, and Bruce's psychic blocks all crumbled under unknown influence. Three very powerful, and very angry entities began to ravage the land. neither the School, nor the Defenders could stop these monstrosities. The Champions were able to pacify the Hulk, while the School managed to subdue Jean, but it was War-She-Hulk that was the greatest threat. Not only was she more powerful than she'd ever been, but Apocalypse metteling had granted her new telepathic powers that drew those who were blood thirsty, and dangerous to her, granted her power over the murderous, and made her able to cloud human minds with rage.

In the end, the Defenders and the School had to join forces to combine brain power and find a way to stop her. Even Magneto and Doom lent their services, and they created a weapon that would drain not only the power that Apocalypse had given her, but all of the gamma energy that gave her her original she-hulk powers. THe only problem was that the weapon had to be applied to a specific part of her spine, right where it joined her back and neck. Any where else, and all was lost. the greatest tried. The greatest failed.

The battle had ravaged half of New-York city. It wasn't until one lone hero joined the fray, a low level meta-human that had refused the school, been condemned by the Devenders, and ignored by the Champions. As he spoke to Magneto, the latest to try and restrain her long enough to apply the device, Magneto managed to explain the situation before he succumbed to his injuries.

Spider-Man took the device. there were no other heroes close enough that could do it (Quicksilver had been killed by the high evolutionary some years earlier). Peter fought She-Hulk for an hour, never hurting her once, and being pummeled badly, but as he fought her distantly, up close, and everywhere in between, he finally found his moment. He applied the device and activated it. War-She-Hulk screamed, throwing the back of her fist into Peter's face, throwing him three blocks.

War-She-Hulk's screams of rage, became screams of pain as her powers were drained, then they became screams of regret as Apocalypse's brain washing flowed out of her with his powers. Jennifer Walters wept openly in the streets, wishing she could die. Before the others could take her, she was taken by Dr. Strange to place far away.

In the end, Xavier and Stark came to an understanding. The school continued, but now with a few more students, and a two new departments: Advanced Technology and the Human Body, taught by Prof. Stark, and Applied Sorcery, taught by Prof. McNee.

Brilliant:up:

What If... Peter Parker wasn't raised by Uncle Ben and Aunt May

In this story Uncle Ben and Aunt May died before Peter's parents did. Peter grew up in an orphanage close to where he was supposed to grow up. his life continues much as it originally did, including Peter becoming a big brain, unwittingly gaining the affections of Jessica Jones, and being bitten by a radioactive spider.

However, Dr. Doom at this time is looking for a student, someone to teach his ways. as he goes over the lists of orphans, he finds none are smarter than Peter Parker. the adoption goes through according to plan (thanks to some political preassure). and Peter is adopted and moved to Latveria, where he happily reveals to his new father his powers. Peter, out of a desperate need to be loved, becomes a loving son, and loyal prince of Latveria. Doom begins to instruct Peter on the use of sorcery as well as the advanced sciences. soon it isn't teach Peter so much as researching with the boy. Quickly the two begin to push the boundries of Science and Sorcery far beyond that which we now enjoy.

On a trip to America, Doom is demanding better trading laws, and the UN is having to listen because of the advancments Latveria has made have made it a major player in technology.

While this goes on, Peter Von Doom (He took his father's name with Pride) tours the city, trying to understand what it is about this place that his father hates so much, when he sees a flying woman. of course this isn't so strange in this world. PEter follows her curiously. using his magical powers he notices that she isn't in control of her mind. he restrains her using the webbing he desgined for his father, and then shatters the control on her mind, in fact, making her immune to such a form of mind control in the future. With that, Jessica Jones is freed of the Purple-Man's thrall. She recognizes Peter instantly and her love for him flares again. he flies her back to his suite at the Latverian Embassy and commands his servants to watch after her. he then goes to Doom and begs him to deal with the Purple-Man. Peter believes his will isn't strong enough to stand up to the mind control, but he knows that Doom's is.

Doom agrees to take care of it. when he returns later that night he sees his adoptive son sitting in front of a crackling fire holding hands with the girl he rescued. the wedding takes place only months later, and Jessica Jones changes her code name to "Crown Jewel" as she is now the future queen of Latveria. She becomes this about a year later when Doom is actually killed in a fight with the FF. Peter, enraged at the loss of his father, goes into seclusion for a months, not being seen by anyone, even his wife. he is next seen in Asguard with Loki behind him in chains. Because Peter doesn't have the ego that Doom did he is able to successfully bargain, and he makes a bargain with Odin. Peter's chains are able to hold any god, and he will surrender them to Odin to control his surly son, in exchange for help in capturing the FF. Thor and Peter make short work of the FF, Peter imprisoning them in cages meant for each of them. he gives them the ultimatim: at dusk tomorrow, one of you will die. I would like to kill you all, but honor and Latverian justice will only allow me to take one life from you. You may chose who it is I kill, you will tell me at dawn. Throughout the night the FF work furiously trying to find a way out, so that they don't come up with a decision, and three of them instead remain defiant. Ben Grimm calls out when Peter enters, "Its me... you'll kill me." Peter nodds and has Ben transferred to another cell filled with lavish settings. Peter honors Ben and scolds the rest saying that they are cowards. he gives Ben a lavish last meal and kills him painlessly with a neurotoxin. Then realizing the honor the man had, he errects a statue in his honor in Doomstadt. Peter ascends the throne of Latveria, and the FF disband.

Wow really good again you should be writing a what if series. I didn't know who jessica jones was so i wickipedia'd it and she's really interesting character. But am i right was just recently created?

in the last decade, yeah. She was retconned in by Bendis for his series "Alias" (Nothing to do with Ms. Gardner). She's actually currently married to Luke Cage and had his daughter, who I don't think is named yet.

(showing more of the face, eye holes, a belt, underwear, and son on.)
Okay, from here up, I'd lump together. Peter was a little less geek, and a little more athletic. he still managed to make his web shooters after he was bitten, however he called himself Ricochet, and went with his Ricochet costume from the Identity Crisis. He became more acceptable because he saved John Jameson on his first big debut. JJJ started endorsing him, and Peter found himself happy for a change. Capt. Stacy however didn't trust Ricochet, and thus didn't endorse Peter to Gwen. Peter and Gwen did date but nothing serious came of it.

What if Marvel did the Doomsday story?
Who would be Superman?

What if Galactus was zapped into the DC universe?
(Where Oa, Apocalypse, the New Gods' planet, the living Green Lantern planet, Earth, Earth 2 and so on live)?
I have no idea

What if Peter Parker never went to live with Aunt May and Uncle Ben?
I already did this one as you'll see above

What if Gwen Stacey was more fun for Stan Lee to write than MJ?
What if Stan Lee never introduced MJ into the picture at all, and kept it only Gwen?
Okay, Gwen and MJ merged, so to speak. However, seeing less competition for his affection, Jessica Jones takes a bit more initiative to persue Peter. Jessica becomes at times a close friend, and at other times an actual romantic rival for Gwen. Peter ends up with Gwen, but Jessica remains close to him, like Felicia. She even tells Peter about her powers. She does go under the Purple Man, but Peter misses her and kills Purple Man after seeing what he did to Jessica. JPeter turned himself in, however Jen Walters gets him off on EED. Peter never takes his costume as Spider-Man again. Gwen leaves him after she finds out he is Spider-Man as she never liked Spider-Man and is insulted that he would lie to her. Jessica Jones tries to comfort him, they eventually wind up lovers, but never actually married.

What if the chemicals that made the Green Goblin didn't make him insane?

What if Peter was injected with the chemical that turned Osborne into the Green Goblin?[/qoute] Norman osborne created his Goblin formula later, but it was perfect. However Norman osborne didn't need the Insanity to be a monster. His greed and lust for power make him a super-villain even without the insanity. In his arrogance, he plans to inject Peter with the formula believing that once injected Peter will be Osborne's thrall. It doesn't work that way though. Peter is granted all the Goblin powers, but he is not entrhalled to Osborne. Peter is now able to easily defeat Osborne as his strength and speed were multiplied by the same factor as osborne's. His intelligence is also multiplied to the point where he's as smart as Reed Richards. Peter, however, is still controlled by the concepts of Power and Responsiblity. He is terrified by the amount of power he now possess. He goes into seclusion in the Sanctum Sanctorum to learn to control it all.

What if Uncle Ben was brought back from the dead?
Done in FNSM

What if Gwen was brought back from the dead for real this time?
Oh, that's a really bad situation for Peter. I have no idea on that one.

What if Peter was bitten by a radioactive dog?
The Man-Wolf makes a debut earlier.

What if Norman Osborne was bitten by a radioactive spider?
Did you ever see "What If Flash Thompson Were Spider-Man?" ? I'd guess about the same thing.

I could work with this. As Peter attends ESU, he finds his cash always coming up short. He hopes to move back in with Aunt May, but she's already converted her old house to a boarding house, with two tenants arriving tomorrow: A pretty girl named Angelica, and a nice boy named Bobby.

Angelica Jones is coming from a disturbing experience after escaping the clutches of the White Queen, she is trying to find a real existance for herself, and gain complete control of her powers. As it is, people frequently loose radio and cell phone signals around her due to her powers.

Bobby Drake wants a nice normal life after his time with the X-men. having virtually died on Krakoa, he was only partially interested in going with Cyclops and Jean to miami to form X-Factor. The rest of him wanted to try normallacy for a while, and that is what he has chosen to do. He, unlike Angelica, has confided in Aunt May that he is a mutant and former X-Man. Aunt May still welcomed him with open arms and promises to keep his secret.

Aunt May is looking to keep her life busy. With her nephew off at college, she was afraid of getting lonely, so she decided her most marketable skill was mothering. her intent is to look after college kids, making sure they make their way safely in life. She didn't realize she'd be looking after Peter again, but she is more than happy to.

Peter is still reeling from the death of his love, Gwen Stacy. He hasn't had the heart to even approach Jonah lately, and so his money is getting tight. No longer able to rent an apartment, Peter moves home, only to realize he'll have housemates. Angelica reminds him strongly of someone, though he can't put his finger on who.

As Peter is looking for an easier path, while still living up to his creedo, when he realizes he new housemates are super-humans, he convinces them to be Heroes once more. They work together to fight. Peter developes feelings for Angelica, who begins to worry about her ability to reproduce. Bobby, acting like a shameless flirt, flirts with Angelica, who reciprocates. This hurts Peter, though neither intend to. Also coming in and out of their team are Black Cat, Tarot, Jamie Madrox, and Justice, however the core team remained the three house-mates.

This is actually readable i would buy that. But while i was reading i heard music in my head a jingle and couldn't place it until the last line "....three's company too...":D

Right now I could feasibly write ben reilly and mayday parker back into continuity. But it won't happen...at least we have spidergirl.

What if it was revealed Gambit was in fact the third summers brother (as it was hinted at for years).

What if bucky never died? I imagine this one going something like he gets dissenfranchised with the whole american Ideal once cap is frozen they give him a serum to try and make him the new cap it seems to work at first but then he realizes it's eating away his insides. They have to replace an arm and leg and most of his insides he's more machine now but he serves faithfully... till he finds out the government new that would probably happen and had theyre cybernetic program that needed a test subject. He quits becoming soldier for hire. Basically looks the same as winter soldier when cap is thawed out.

What if Felicia and Spiderman had stayed together and made it work?

What if Havoc had brought his whole crew from Mutant X series back with him to our continuity?

What if Mr. Sinister was revealed to be the real father of Scott and Alex Summers?

What if Havoc, after leaving the Mutant X universe, travelled to another alternate universe? and then the series became something like Gulliver's Travels?

What if Apocalypse was really Charles Xavier from the future?

What if Spider-Man married Black Cat instead of MJ?

What if Wolverine and Cyclops switched bodies?

What if Wolverine was Sabortooth's father?

What if Cable or Bishop were made to be more like Booster Gold?

What if Mr. Sinister never messed with Scott Summer's DNA?

What if Mr. Sinister never interfered with In Scott or Jean's lifes?

What if Magneto was killed before Charles started the X-Men?

What if...

what if matt murdock had been allowed to try a boxing career?

Peter Parker: Sorcerer Supreme....

When Steven Strange discovers a grave pending danger to the Earth, he realizes that he must focus his total attention on it. But someone has to take on the more mundane but pressing magical problems while he is gone. To this end he choses a person of strong will, quick wit, and high intelligence.... aka Peter Parker, as an apprentice. Peter learns the basics of spell crafts and adds an assortment of enchantments to his arsenal of powers, and quickly adapts to the new role.

What If The Hornet Had Not Been Murdered?

What if Mr. Fixit had worked as an enforcer for the Kingpin?

What if Osborn never got away with Baby May and the child was recovered by Peter and MJ?

What if Spiderman got caught in a gamma bomb explosion?
Spiderhulk!

What if Dr Doom was able to lift Mjolnir?

What if Bob, Agent of Hydra took over the world?

What if Peter Parker's parents never died?

What if Captain America was never frozen in that glacier?

What if Nick Fury was selected for the super soldier program instead of Steve Rogers?

What if Ultron wasnt evil?

What if Kang conquered?

What if Bruce Banner never saved Rick from the blast and Rick Jones became the Hulk?

What if.... I stopped asking these questions?

I believe at least half of your ideas were already done. I know there was one where Rick Jones was the hulk... heck, if one photomanip is to be believed, there was one where Rick JAMES was the Hulk. There was one where Baby May was raised by her parents (Spun off into Spider-Girl and then MC2), Spider-Man as the Hulk was covered in Bullet Points,

I could make a killing on non-character centric Marvel titles.
