I don't think Hammer is anything special. Yeah, he was pretty good in one movie but I don't see why his name gets brought up for every superhero character other than the fact that he's tall and has a pretty good build.

I didn't and never said fans can choose who is cast, and that's were your blanket assumption comes from.

WB/DC in particular is know to react to fan-feedback, especially if it's strong as can be. It's why the JL movie Hammer was cast in was cancelled,
it's why the WW pilot never saw life on tv, it's what helped put their minds at ease when casting Bale as Batman, and Cavill as Superman; even Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam.

lol no it wasn't. you're delusional if you think some "fan" feedback would make a studio like wb shelve a 220 million dollar film. somethings just didn't go it's way. the writers strike for one, and the fact that nolan's bats was still a thing didn't help it's cause either.

and nbc scrapped the ww show cause it was horribly done.

I don't think we'll see Black Adam in BVS. Shazam is being released under WB's New Line Cinema label, which mainly specializes in lower-budget fare.

Captain Marvel has a somewhat specific look. He should not be played by an actor who merely has that generic rugged hero look. Rather, the innate cheesiness of the character needs to be externalised by the actor. I'm not a fan of Alex Ross, but I think his Captain Marvel is perfect.

The fact he could be the model in a toothpaste advert underpins the fact that he is an innocent child blown up into a heroic body.

I just realize that Shazam KC looks like (My 3 Sons) Fred MacMurray :yay:

That aside, it wouldn't make sense for them to just throw Black Adam in BvS for the sake of it.

Wikipedia is far from official...anyone can change and update entries[/QUOTE]

I don't get why some still have this opinion in regards to Wikipedia. They don't keep info up unless there is an official source to back it up. Yes, anyone can change (some pages) but if the information isn't reliable it won't be up for long.

Hammer isn't a bad choice. I think the character needs to have that cheesy, clean-cut, boyish aspect to him.

Though he was a ridiculous choice for Batman, I think Matt Bomer could work for Captain Marvel/Shazam, if he could attain the heroic physique. I'm not usually one to obsess over that, put I think that the barrel-chested look probably forms part of Shazam's character as a magically super-heroised alter ego. He has to match Black Adam to some extent, too.

I could see that.

I really hope Shazam it within the same universe as the other heroes because he's always a great addition to the Justice League & I want to see that happen. He deserves no less.

^Agreed, it should be in the same universe, even if it turns out to be more of its own thing.

Rock as Black Adam is great casting though IMO. Very much looking forward to seeing how this turns out.

Yes he is. He's a horrible choice.
And he couldn't pull off any of your listed qualities in Mirror Mirror or Lone Ranger.

I have no idea. I cant think of any A or B listers that even come close to the rocks size. It will either have to be an unknown actor or a well known one with some serious cg makeup. He11 maybe captain marvel will be a cg character.

Hmm...was it really all Hammers fault that Lone Ranger sucked overall??

Give him some decent material to work with and he will be fine. Plus....The Rock as Black Adam will be stealing the show ahead of whoever is cast as Billy/Shazam.

I think Hammer would be a good enough choice. He has the right physical traits and has that Billy do good boyish charm and look.

he doesn't have to be a fan. nolan talked to heath about possibly playing bruce wayne and heath said no thanks. next thing you know, he's playing the joker. and armie isn't anywhere the actor that heath was. you're crazy if you think he'd turn down shazam if wb came calling.

True and especially if he were to get a 3 film deal or something.
