I think my favorite is Harry coming to Spidey's aid. For those of you who watch WWE, when that happened Jim Ross's voice echoed through my head. I began to chuckle as I heard:

"We need some help out here right now, King. Spider-man is a bloody mess. He's being whipped like a government mule. He's being pummeled and that bas**rd Sandman just wont stop delivering the punishment. This is sick..

The rescue in the rain from SM1, with the train sequence aftermath of SM2 a close second. Both of them were the ones that really got the blood pumping for me.

My favorite was Spidey saving MJ at the World Unity Festival.. came inches from the ground, was pretty sweet.

The train rescue was the best for me. He was prepared to die with everybody else on that train if he failed. Can't get more heroic than that.

why is the gwen one getting so many votes?

pete let dozens of people get injured or killed by falling debris and a still renegade sloping floor at the top of the skyscraper just to save the life of one person?

In the spirit of spidey, i fail to see how this ranks high...

this is the equivalent of spidey just saving mj when the goblin gave him a choice to make at the end of the first film?

To answer your question I think the reason people are voting for it is simply because it looked cool.

I think we just have to assume that as soon as Spidey rescued Gwen then the whole crane situation sorted itself out and no-one else was left in any danger.

Anyway the more important question is when did Spidey have time to set up his camera. t:

meh, it didn't look as cool as spidey catching peoeple mid swing, tossing them and having a web net catch them...

thats possibly the coolest ten second of spidey history (if you include him being knocked off the train and recovery)

that's on par with the clocktower arm slingshot and the final swing from the first movie

the gwen save was dull, i mean this would have been the sixth time he's saved someone falling to their doom

as for the camera, it would have been nice to see him put it on some falling debris and come back to claim his camera later on....

to me, i think the saving m.j in the rain scene in spidey one will forever be the best! because it lead to the best kiss of all time in superhero movie history...and left m.j very cold in the rain for us to see

but it was cool him fighting without his mask, then yo-yoing down to her, and her not unrolling allof his mask, respecting him wanting to keep his secret identity.

Oh man I love that scene. When he first threw that guy I was like "What the hells he doing"

Good job his webbing didn't run out then huh t:

They did a similar thing in SM3 when he threw those guys out of the armoured truck but it didn't work half as well IMO.

Yeah I know what you mean. I was really disapointed with it. It just seemed to be over in a flash and the door surfing part looked pretty lame.

Its hard to choose, but I say saving the girl in SM2. He had no powers yet demonstrated he was still a hero. There was also alot of power behind the part when he realized there was another person in that building and if he had his powers back could have saved him.

TOTALLY agree with this, i love that scene and think its very underrated, i also love Spidey stopping the train, which is probably my favourite, but the one that gives me a tingle down my spine every time i see it is Spidey saving Aunt May in 2, that part of him webbing her towards him as they are falling is pure Spiderman!

Yeah i agree, it could and should have been longer and better, and possibly was before they edited it down.

2. Spidey catching MJ and the kids at the bridge in S-M1.
3. Spidey avoiding debris and catching Gwen Stacy in S-M3
4. Spidey catching Aunt May in S-M2.

MJ must have a bright neon "Hostage Bait" sign over her head or something. Why couldn't the villains have kidnapped Aunt May? I mean yes, MJ is important to Peter, but Aunt May is Peter's emotional rock. It would have hurt him more to have seen her in peril.

Because Eddie thought Peter stole his 'girl'.

'You made me lose my girl, so now you're gonna lose yours.'

i say stoping a train going over 100 mph with your bare hands (and web) and saving like 200 + people is pretty friggin heroic....

i also like him saving Gwen in 3, and aunt May in 2.....but my second pick is probably saving MJ and the kids in 1

the train resuce was the hardest one, spidey was fighting doc ock and was tring to stop a train from crashy that would have killed hundreds of people or less.

that one has my vote.
