What is the worst kind of nerd?

It's time to be self critical of our culture, people.

What subdivision of the blanket cultural term we call "nerd," be it comic book nerds, TV nerds, movie nerds, video game nerds, etc. (or getting even more specific with Batman nerds, Buffy nerds, etc.) is just generally the worst? What faction or factions of our wild and wacky sub culture do you find to be the most obsessive, irrational, anti-social, prone to morally questionable sexual proclivities, shockingly racist, or all of the above? What do you think the cause is? And what do you think should be done about it?

The worst faction I have encountered - not on here, but in real life and other sites- is the Doctor Who fandom. Sexist, ageist and racist, they make the Heimdall haters seem normal.

The other 1% simply put down the things they don't like directly and then engage the fans of those things in long winded debates with pages and pages of logical arguments and sourced statistics going back and forth debating the merit of the things in question instead of applying those skills to running for congress or really just doing anything else with their time.

I guess the unflinching nerd is the worst kind, in terms of the Hype. In real life, I've been in TRU with my cousin while he was Christmas shopping for his daughter. I saw some down the aisle for girl toys. They look like 20-30 somethings trying to pull off the fedora/trench combo, or just the fedora (failed on both counts). What made it bad, aside from their shady dress, was the fact that they were dropping Fbombs and other profanities in what I guess was an attempt to sound like adults. Keep in mind this was on an aisle for Pre-K--1st grade girls.
