What made you happy today? - Part 1

Had to go to an actors open house at my film school last night. It was boring. I ended up chatting with this girl I really dig the entire night instead. Pretty groovy if'n you ask me.

Jesus, you people know it's not cool to be happy. This entire thread goes against our entire credo. :argh:

Boston Market's "buy one individual meal, get the second free" deal.

Bought 3 more Godzilla movies I didn't have in my collection.

A friend of mine has the same hobby. The only one he's missing is the one with Biollante as it's not region 1.

Tell him to go look again.....I have that one and it's region 1, and I saw other copies at the FYE store I was at today. There are 29 GODZILLA movies (I now have 24 of them)....and all but one are now on region 1 DVD....and that one is GODZILLA 1985 (luckily, I had the vhs tape of it and was able to transfer it to DVD myself).

The start of the NFL season, & of course my 49ers winning today!! :woot:

I got the collection of Flash comics I saw longed to have over a year

I saw a post on another site of porn starts before and after makeup. Nice to see what people really look like.

I got switched locations at work, turning my 90 minute commute on public transport into a 15 minute walk.

What made me happy today?

The same thing that's been making me happy for the past few weeks.

My wife and I are finally leaving California in a few months.

Where are you going, Figs?

The hubs has lived in CA his whole life. I haven't, so I know that we're spoiled here by the weather. :funny: But I don't think he'd want to move to the East Coast anyway.

My wife and I are moving to Vancouver Washington, just across the river from Portland. We're going to start out in an apartment and then get our own house after the first year of saving up for a decent down payment.

I'm so sick of the Bay Area and the traffic. My wife recently got laid off and is now on unemployment while looking for jobs up there. Even with how much she was getting paid at her last job and how much I get paid now as well as how good my credit score is, we still really couldn't afford any houses here. Even the apartments(decent ones, nothing great)are ranging from $1800-2000 for a two bed one bath. Over the Altamont, east of the Bay Area is Tracy. That used to be fairly cheap but they recently announced that Amazon is opening a warehouse there and IBM is supposed to as well. House prices have been shooting up already.

Some of our friends are warning us about what we already know, that although it's cheaper in Washington and Oregon, the wages won't be as high. Well, we've been looking online and with our experience, the pay range isn't much different, so we'll be perfectly fine up there.

An obnoxious man in a suit, shouting loudly down his phone, sat next to me on the train. I eased out a fart that I had stored up for ages. He moved.

Time to bump this up a bit, without farting in anyone's general direction.

Finally gotten to work on a long gestating project of mine and it's going along easier than I thought, although I really don't want to jinx it and it turn into a nightmare either so I'll leave it at that. :ninja:
