I remember watching Superman move a planet with ease(which is stupid) and wondered what Marvel character could do it. I thought about Thor, who for all his strength and boasting, rarely displays his super strength. Hulk, maybe. Who do you think can do this?

No one who isnt a cosmic entity

moving planets is dumb anyway. I think it was dumb that pre crisis Supes can do it.

I mean we are talking about moving a planet? The strength it would take is beyond absurd, that's why they fixed Superman.

A guy who can do that is just too strong

Franklin Richards.

are we talking physically or by means of teleportation via some gateway etc....?

During his last bout against the Abomination, Hulk/Banner theorized that un-checked, the Hulk had the potential to become strong enough to crack the planet in two, which i guess would knock it out of orbit, thus in effect "moving it"...

:hulk:

That's just not possible, anymore than Superman can really move the planet.

I don't remember seeing Superman move a planet.
I've seen Superboy-Prime move a planet though.

Hmm...Marvel Character...
The Phoenix, Scarlet Witch, and maybe Doc. Strange.

And probably is trying to compensate for something:(

All his powers are compensating for something.

gladiator has accomplished some major feats...don't think it was a planet..think it was a moon but he destroyed it with his bare hands.

captain britain could've moved the planet too when he was king of otherworld with the amulet of right and excalibur...he had the power to remake the cosmos..so i guess moving a planet wouldve been easy enough...

Newsflash: It's not possible to get caught in a gamma bomb explosion, survive, and gain the ability to turn into a 7ft. tall, 1000 lb. raging green monster either.

These are comic books.

Relax, and enjoy. ;)

Well put

To move a planet you would feasibly need super invulnerability and super flight speed.

Id say...

Silver Surfer, Hyperion, Nova , Genis-vell , possibly sentry

Of course you could also fudge it with the hulk rending a planet in 2 , scarlett witch hexing, Quasar could build massive jets out of quantum force and propel a planet (actually i think he has done this)

I think its pretty stupid to have a character move a planet. Given the small size of a hero and the velocity required, its much more likely from a physics standpoint the person would simply punch a hole through.

I do know one marvel character who could move a planet for sure...and thats EGO the living planet.

Possibly Sentry? For sure Sentry. If some people think Silver Surfer, Gladiator, or the Hulk can move it by any means than Sentry could move it easily as well. He has so much power its ridiculous. And he still has shown practically nothing of it, he has almost limitless potential. I dont even understand why hes on a team. He can practically take on anyone or anything as easily as Superman, himself. Not to mention he is also another being, Void who himself has as much power but perverted and reversed. I guess its the who JLA era thats making Marvel do such a thing.

No one who isn't cosmic. Hell, even most low level cosmics probably couldn't. I'd be very surprised if Thor or the Silver Surfer could move planets. As for who could, The Celestials definately. Maybe the Champion, if he has the power gem.

I would believe it if certain gods could do it. At times i think gods like Thor should be alot more powerful because of their godhood/divinity. Werent the gods at a time back when they were first being written in Marvel as powerful as cosmic beings? As a sidenote to that, I also have a terrible time swallowing the idea that a mere humanoid alien powered by the sun could take down a god from a great pantheon. Its terribly unbelievable.

Ah, pfft. Supes faked moving that planet. All he did was pretend to push while it revolved around whatever star it revolves around.

Because Superman's just enough of a dick to pull a trick like that.

I would say Thor, Hulk, Hercules (Remember he held up the world for the titan Atlas in one of his labours), Galactus, Zeus, Odin, and Sentry

All of the Cosmics including Franklin Richards. The Surfer and maybe Gladiator who has claimed to be capable of it. The Hulk and Hercules definately not they are neither strong enough nor can they fly.
