....What's the history behind all that?
The head of NBC at the time, Brandon Tartikoff (sp?), wanted a show based on his 8th grade history teacher. For some reason everyone else at NBC didn't like the project so they passed. In 1988, Disney Channel, greenlit the show. It, of course, was called Good Morning Miss Bliss. The show got bad ratings and was cancelled after one season. In 1989, NBC, decided that they wanted a new version of the show only this time focusing on the students and having it based in high school. That, of course, is Saved by the Bell. In 1990 or `91 NBC wanted to start airing reruns on syndication to make more money and expose the show a little more. To get into syndication you need ATLEAST 65 episodes. So, the decision was made to merge SBTB and Miss Bliss. HENCE why you have episodes where it starts out with Zack saying, "hey back in junior high..." and it cuts to this opening: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OzpS1COKg9g
but what the good people at NBC failed to realize is that both shows were simply two different versions. So, alot of things wouldn't match so as a result SBTB probably has the worst continuity in TV history!
I'd hit that!
