BvS What Stylized Colour Scheme do you Want/Expect for Gotham City?

I think we're all forgetting something here: BvS is being shot in Detroit. Now, there is the chance that Detroit is meant to represent Metropolis, but it seems unlikely to me since Chicago was Metropolis in MOS.

But, if Detroit is standing in for Gotham, then I think they've nailed the location.

Older, art deco styles and decaying, overgrown brick buildings mingling with modern structures and skyscrapers. Decadence, decline, and power, all in one skyline. That is what I'm looking for in Gotham.

the tdk's and mos had metropolis/gotham shot in more than one city. there also shooting in toronto if i remember correctly.

I love the way Gotham looks in he Arkham games. That's exactly what I'd like to see.

Tim Burtons Gotham for no other reason than I love the way it looked. :D

and it was the best that gotham looked in all of those films i think. though tdk and tdkr seemed bigger.

Agreed

I think that they could change a lot. add some gargoyles around to the existing skyline.
there's multiple statues around the floors of this building and it would definitely have a gotham look with some demonic looking gargoyles.

I would also add more buildings in the city to give it a more congested feeling. superman is probably used to flying around metropolis, but making the gotham buildings be more closer and congested is definitely going to show the contrast between the cities.
pretty much my thoughts on the gotham city designs.

In batman begins, they had brown color.

Dark knight was blue.

I think that for this movie, gotham should be red like in the animated series.

Gotham should be dystopian while Metropolis should be utopian. That's always been the contrast in my mind. The color schemes should reflect that.

Very true! Nice way to put it.

I would love to see a gotham that looked like the one in BB or Arkham City. They have this brown/ blue scheme which gives it that grungy feel. The AC one especially is the perfect modern gotham for me.

If the promo pic is any indication, I'd love for Gotham to be in perpetual climate misery. Even when it's daytime, it looks like dusk or cloudy. I wouldn't even mind if it was constantly raining ala Se7en.

They're shooting it in Detroit so you're not too far off from that assumption.

It will be a slightly more gothic Detroit. Which sounds like the perfect Gotham.

I'd like to see some European architecture as an influence.

If it's always raining like the way David Fincher filmed Se7en, that would be fine by me. I'm expecting Gotham to be dirty, messy, and chaotic with big, Gothic architecture.

Gotham = Blade Runner + Seven + Watchmen merged with Begins

What building is this? It looks like something straight out of comic book Gotham. It MUST be used in this film.

Probably one of the reasons why they hired Patrick Tatopoulos. He worked on Dark City and Underworld.
