What villains would you like to see?

John Corben. Max Riemelt.

Do it.

Interesting choice, I hadn't considered him before but he would be great

Rob Kazinsky is my choice for John Corben

Brainiac, Livewire, Metallo, Manchester Black/Elite.

I love Livewire and Metallo, but...

Brainiac could work. I think a reinvention could be cool. Alexander Luthor has an information overload. He could very well be Brainiac. Alexander, unlike his father, is very driven by knowledge and experimenting. Doing and achieving, no matter the consequences. Just like Brainiac. He's highly intelligent automaton. Sentience without reasoning, just logic and pushing that.

I'm for the Metallo casting, by the way.

Congratulations. You have won one (1) 'Hell No!' from *Bren*

So Jesse Eisenberg as Brainiac?

There is no need to drastically reinterpret Lex. If this was a Nolan film, I'd understand, but we've got Kryptonians, Atlanteans, Amazons and Parademons. They could definitely do the alien or AI versions of Brainiac. Brainiac should be a bigger foe than Zod anyway.

Personally, if they go with Brainiac, I think it'd be interesting to approach him as a twisted reflection of Jor-El - not literally, but the Coluan scientist who steals knowledge and worlds because he lost his own could be a suitable foe for Superman.

A villain like Brainiac would affect the entire world, the entire world's systems, so could be a chance to create a catastrophic worldwide event. An apocalyptic type scenario. This could be a chance to see different parts of society, including different parts of Metropolis, from the ordinary people to Lex Luthor taking advantage of the situation.

It can still be a more personal story if we see Superman helping and interacting more with people while trying to take down the enemy.

I think it could be cool if most of the movie takes place in a shrunken Metropolis, isolated from the world, kind of like Gotham in TDKR, and Supes is the one who has to lead the people of Metropolis, prevent it from falling into chaos, etc.

That could be interesting. But I worry about the scope of that.

I would like to see something affecting the whole world. Like a War of the Worlds scenario, where it's not just affecting Metropolis. Brainiac can shut down the whole world.

Manchester black is an interesting idea that hasn't been suggested yet

I've never been a massive fan of Manchester Black but if they were to use him I only wanna see Christoper Eccelstone in the role.

Manchester black and his elite would make great om screen villains for superman imo. And you also get a great teaching/learning moment for superman all in all.

There's a new Reddit rumour so take it would a massive punch of salt

Firstly, Black Adam will be the main villain in Man of Steel 2. The idea was tossed around of possibly making an appearance in the sequel, even if it was only brief. This later evolved into Adam becoming the villain due to the fact WB did not feel confident in the early drafts of the Shazam script and felt as if Dwayne Johnson deserved a bigger project (may be linked to how much they’re paying him).

I wouldn't want Black Adam to be the main villain so I'm glad it's coming from Reddit and not something reliable.

I was hoping Vaughn would be at Comic Con and let something slip about MOS 2. Far fetched as that might sound. But his name isn't listed on the Kingman's panel. :(

Yeah it's probably BS but it wouldn't shock me but then again other things wouldn't as I've said before i.e. Brainiac, Supergirl etc.

I actually think I'd be cool with it if we got another Superman villain in the film too, say Metallo or Toyman.

I have lost hope with Vaughn doing Man of Steel II. I actually think there might be something to the J A Bayona rumours in all honesty.

I'm pretty open to a wide array of villains. Brainiac seems the most obvious. Metallo is the easiest to insert in most stories.

Yeah. I've pretty much given up on Vaughn too. Bayona tweets something Superman related almost every week. For whatever that's worth.

Count me in as thinking Vaughn is not associated with this anymore and that Bayona might be.

Metallo could fit in with other villains, such as if Brainiac has a robot army. Metallo could be incorporated into Brainiac's story.
