Superman

You'll believe a man can finally have a personality and fun after a dozen years.

4.5/5

Lots to like but also lots to dislike as well, a messy plot and script undercut what does have some good chemistry and some nice shots and ideas. I understand the total 180 shift from the previous incarnation which ended up so dark and broody it ended up in the ditch, they clearly wanted to give us a more back to roots Superman of hope and with bright colors I just wish we could have got a better story with more focus on him in it.

Jurassic World Rebirth on Tuesday and Superman today.
Shockingly, I think I enjoyed Jurassic world more.
Notably, this was my first time in the cinema this year, I haven't been since Deadpool and Wolverine.
May such a long cinema drought for me never happen again.

Hypnotic (2021)
Altered Carbon: Resleeved (2020)
Happy Gilmore (1996)
The Lesson (2023)
I tre che sconvolsero il West (Vado, vedo e sparo) / One Dollar Too Many (1968)
Get Carter (2000)
Straw (2025)
Mixtape (2021)
Devil Girl from Mars (1954)
The Amateur (2025)
Streamer(2016)

Nightbitch I have to say the way it was marketed I as expecting a totally different film than what I saw, still decent but I was not expecting what the final film was

Tetris I have to say I really really loved this, as a kid in the 80s when Tetris was THE game to play and I remember getting my first Game Boy with it and playing it with other GB players using the link cable in school in study hall back in the day it was so fun and interesting to see the back story of what it took to give us this classic game,.

Film making on a biblical scale. Nolans finest work quite possibly but certainly felt like everything had led to him making this epic. Everyone in it probably gives their best performance ever but its nerve shredding and traumatic as well as being scarily real, especially considering current world events. I mean yeah it won all the awards and you can see why. Nolan is in a league of his own these days.

Fantastic Four

F4 Rise of the Silver Surfer

Despite popular fan opinions, I don’t entirely dislike these films. Most of the cast do well, although Alba‘s acting is often questionable. While I didn’t like the notion of turning Marvel‘s most notable villain into a mutated mix of Colossus and Electro, the late Julian McMahon had a great voice in and out of the mask.

These are nowhere near being the worst marvel films, but yet they’re also not near as fantastic as they could have been.

Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999)

Viciously funny mockumentary about teen beauty pageants and the literally murderous extremes that some mothers will go to to try to ensure their daughters win. Stars Kirsten Dunst, Ellen Barkin, Allison Janney, Denise Richards, Kirstie Alley, Brittany Murphy, and - in her film debut - Amy Adams. Plus Adam West as himself! If you like the original Mean Girls and have a twisted sense of humour you'll probably like this (I loved the town perv-pedo who managed to somehow get himself on the judges panel, and also last year's winner talking on-camera about how entering pageants had truly changed her life - giving her interview from her bed in the bulimia clinic!). The whole cast are great, but my favourite is probably Ellen Barkin as 'Annette', 'Amber's' (Kirsten Dunst) trailer-trash, drunken mom;

[Amber is being filmed in her bedroom in her trailer. Annette is heard coughing]
Amber: That's my mom.
Annette: [from outside] Hey, Amber, did ya get my smokes?
Amber: Oh, yah, I'll get 'em in a sec.
Annette: [walks in and sees the camera crew] Aw, s**t.
Amber: Oh, they're from Los Angeles. They wanted to see my room and film me for their movie.
Annette: Yah, well, if they ask you to take your top off, get the money first.
[she leaves the room]

:funny:

Great kick-back-at-the-end-of-the-day movie 7.5/10

If you go into this expecting nothing but mindless action and carnage you might have a better time with it than me but honestly I was kind of disappointed in this because it had so much potential offer more atleast when it comes to the characters which were insanely generic and forgettable IMO. It tries to be The Raid with zombies which sounds dope on paper but it just didn't live up to that.

This was better than I was expecting especially if your a Christina Ricci fan and you want to see her in a different badass type of role. I also thought Kevin James did a solid job in this too though playing a tough guy and I'm glad too see him take these very different kinds of roles this late in his career.

A decent enough Western with plenty of action and a cool novelty factor of seeing Sam Jackson and Pierce Brosnan on screen together. Those two are easily the best parts of this and I wish they were the leads instead of the younger guy who is honestly the least interesting character in the movie.

An interesting period action flick that's really well shot, well made and well acted. I just enjoy seeing Tim Roth in more stuff nowadays and he's still able to give off so much screen presence even with little screentime. It doesn't really get violent until the third act which was a little clunky IMO but overall it was pretty entertaining and I liked the lead girl.

Well, it's taken 47 years, but , I've finally caught this 1978 tv horror film.

While it's basically Carrie on a College Campus, I thought it was pretty good, with lead Kay Lenz giving a great performance , and holding her own with film legend Shelley Winters.

Kay was one of those actresses who was a little bit before my time, and this is the first thing I've ever seen her in, but I think she's great .
