What was the last movie you watched? Part 2

This was good but I definitely think the Oscar hype is way overblown. Dwayne gave a really solid performance though and honestly the scenes between him and Blunt were easily my favorite parts of the movie.

The fights were done well and felt pretty realistic but The UFC/MMA stuff overall was the least interesting part of the movie IMO.

I had a blast with this movie and I'm surprised more people aren't talking about it because it's easily one of the funniest comedies I've seen in a while.

Granted I've only seen bits and pieces of the original although I do plan on watching that one soon but man the chemistry between Olivia Coleman and Benedict Cumberbatch is seriously off the charts and I wasn't expecting this to take such a dark and crazy turn in the third act but the finale is pretty crazy.

This was also one of the few times I didn't mind Kate Mckinonon and Andy Sandberg in something and they were actually some of the funnier parts of the movie.

Another comedy that's being slept on right now and I hadn't even heard of it until a couple of days ago but this was pretty solid. Rainn Wilson was really good here and I liked how unapologetically dark it got at times which reminded me a lot of Bringing out the Dead.

A really nice change of style in the franchise with the Predator front and center in the story in a really fun and great looking sci-fi action/adventure that we dont get too many of these days. Everyone in it is great and it looks and sounds amazing, the action is also great and clever and inventive at the same time, it all somehow feels so fresh in a fairly old series. Yautja this world!!

A House of Dynamite (2025) – Dropped on Netflix recently & immediately caught my attention. Very good, but with a controversial ending that you’ll either love or hate.

Tense, suspenseful, heart-pounding & great acting. That in my opinion makes up for the….”ending”.

Loved this and currently it might be my second or third favorite Predator film. Trachtenberg is really on a roll here man delivering back to back banger Predator films and hopefully we get another one.

THE BOY WHO CRIED WEREWOLF ( 1973)

1973's The Boy Who Cried Werewolf is a pretty entertaining, campy, and genuinely , funny Horror -Comedy .

For a period when pulling off Werewolf make up wasn't easy, this film's Werewolf is actually seen clearly throughout, and isn't reduced to quick scenes, and attempts to hide the make up.

While it obviously isn't up to the standards of An American Werewolf In London and The Howling, it isn't that far removed from the 1940s Wolfman and Teen Wolf from 1980s .

So, while I prefer that more giant wolf like interpretation, I respect that the filmmakers went all in on the look, even with it's flaws.

The film doesn't take itself too seriously, and while there are several leaps that you have to just go with , the acting is actually pretty good all around.

From Hippie Guru's , to Small Town Sheriff's , to an appearance from Police Academy and Punk Brewster's George Gaynes , the film first and foremost is there to entertain and wallow in
it's cheesiness .

So, I laughed alot and had alot of fun with this one .

Released on July 10th 1973, the number one song was a hit by the late and very great Jim Croce who left us way too soon, but left alot of good music, in the brief time he was here.
