Two movies with vastly different critical scores and yet I had much more fun with the latter. Probably due to the fact that I'm not much of a racing fan.

Rewatched Shark Tale and again found it at least a bit above average, fairly enjoyable particularly the cast, also liked the action and the three act structure. Zellweger’s character was kind of bad/bland but even she not real bad. It should have outright gone through with being called its original working title Sharkslayer.

Not the fun time Rom-com I was looking for or expected but a much more realistic look at an actual romance that has all the ups and downs you might expect. The two leads are as excellent as you would expect and stopped the melodrama getting too out of hand that this kind of film can. Not anything new or amazing but solid schmaltz if thats what you want.

I had a great time with this and it's easily one of the most comicbooky superhero movies I've seen since Aquaman which is still my favorite DCEU film. It won't be for everyone but this is the Superman film I've always wanted to see and for the most part IMO James Gunn definitely delivered with this one.
