A solid Aussie prison drama. The main reason I even watched this is because of Guy Pearce and Cosmo Jarvis who both give strong performances but sadly they aren't the main characters and I don't even remember if they had one proper scene together. It's mostly from Vincent Millers POV who isn't bad in his role but for me was easily still the least interesting character in the movie.

Didn't know anything about this beforehand and came out pleasantly surprised. Danielle Deadwyler is just killing it so far atleast in the stuff that I've seen her in and this movie was no different. It's pretty action packed and brutal and as far as high concept post apocalyptic films go it's definitely one of the better ones I've seen in a while despite the lower budget.

A pretty interesting Russian flick. Tonally its like the complete opposite of 40 acres with a pretty dark and grim tone throughout with also a very unexpected, twisted sense of humor. Its a dark film that definitely won't be for everyone but the two leads did a great job and the ending was super satisfying IMO.
