What we know about Thor 2 from the Avengers...

I'm betting the whatever the confrontation in Thor 2, some of the battle will spill over into Asgard. At the end of the film, we'll see that Odin's treasure room was raided in the chaos and some items are missing, one of which is the Infinity Gauntlet.

Then, in the after-credits scene, we see Thanos laughing putting on the gauntlet.

Nah Thanos is nowhere near as powerful as Odin, he can't even harm him plus if anyone kills Odin it should be Surtur.

Yeah I know MCU Odin lost his eye from Laufey, but I'm under the impression that Odin didn't have the Odin Force at the time. I say this because he really didn't seem anymore powerful than Thor in the flash back scene of his Frost Giant battle.

I wouldn't say "nowhre near" Thor, is nowhere near as powerful as Odin.

Well, it could all be a part of Thanos' plan. What if Thanos knew he couldn't defeat Odin. Hence this attack on Earth, Thor needed to be there, so Odin uses this Dark Energy to get Thor there, greatly weakening him, so then Thanos can kill him?

I kinda agree, i think Thanos will find someone, something as a distraction for the Asgardians as he robs the vault...will get into conflict with Odin and kill him(Hopkins isnt going to do these forever)Thor AND Loki in the meantime will defeat the other baddies...Thor will inherit the Odinforce and use it in the Avengers 2 for revenge.

I would like that. Seeing Thor inherit the odinforce...

When they fought in the comics Thanos wasn't even able to faze Odin, I'd say that qualifies him as being nowhere near him.

Regardless, everyone knows that if anyone kills Odin it should be his mortal enemy a.k.a "Surtur" not Thanos.

Considering on how powerful Surtur has been made out to be, I'm surprised that he hasn't made into an Avengers villain as well, more so than Thanos.

I hope to see Loki and Thor team up.like Thor needs Loki for information while tracking enchantress and Loki knows all the dark magic spots in all the nine realms. Then we get Loki betray Thor only to get betrayed by enchantress.

Well he's more of Odin's adversary than Thor's, which makes sense because Odin is more powerful than the entire Avenger's squad.

a cool development could be that odin made the deal with enchantress, and in payment he has to help retrieve something for her, something that would require travelling to other realms. thor steps in in his fathers place with lady sif and the warriors 3, and skurge the executioner travels with them as insurance for the enchantress. just an idea.

This is a really cool idea. I think a really cool way to evolve your idea might be:

Enchantress says the payment is Loki as the price Thanos has put on his head is so high she would require no other payment. Thor asks if there is any other way and she says if he can retrieve one of the Infinity Gems for her the payment will be considered fullfilled, but if he can't get one in a matter of time the Excecutioner will take Loki to Thanos.

So Thor, Loki, Excecutioner and maybe Jane Foster (her ability to read star maps gets her into the story) set out on a dangerous quest throughout the Nine Realms to find an infinity gem.

For sake of story Enchantress requests the one that lets you control the dead and once she gets it she creates an army of undead to take over Asgard.

I dunno something along this line could be interesting....and it would intro the Infinity Gems for Avengers 2

I like the idea of them going on a quest for an Infinity Gem. It would tie in well with what TA has established. Though I'd prefer if more than just Thor, Skurge, Loki, and Jane went on the quest. I'd like to see Amora, Sif, and the Warriors Three go along, too. Basically it'd be like a fantasy adventure epic. Or maybe just Sif comes along (I expect there'll be some romantic tension between her, Thor, and Jane) while the Warriors Three stay behind in Asgard to keep an eye on things there.

I don't like the idea of having the gems overpowering Thor 2. Thor 2 should have a core Thor villain as the #1 idea and maybe have a side part where the WT and Sif for the gem.

Well I think an Infinity Gem would be a logical device to illicit a quest throughout the nine realms

I think in what I came up with Enchantress would be the main villainess.

I think having Skurge as the Executioner go with would be important as he is kind of the "watch dog" of the group. It be fun if early in the quest Loki tried to run and Executioner kicked his ass to show how strong he is....Thor cautiously respects Skurge's power and choses to not engage him in battle but at the end of the movie they square off in a big fight.

I'm with you on this

He didn't stay down. And since then he has gotten upgrades I think. I think.

So now I see it more as Odin>>Thanos, opposed to Odin>>>>>Thanos

I do agree with Surtur. But the only reason I say have Thanos kill him, is cause I can almost see Surtur being used for 3. And if Odin dies in 3, and Thor inherits the Odinforce, there really won't be another film for him to use it. Thats why I wouldn't mind having Thanos kill a weakened Odin in 2 for the IG (since most likely we wont see Surtur in 2), and then have a WHOLE OTHER movie where Thor can have, and try to master the Odinforce

:thor::thor:

Yup yup

unless Hulk gets angry enough, and is the world breaker...

No more Loki getting his ass kicked. No more.

And I thought that actually Thor was significantly stronger than Skurge?

World Breaker Hulk is nowhere near Odin either, we've seen how easily Zeus knocked him around during their confrontation.

Thor is quite a bit stronger than Skurge, but their strength is close enough to where they can still go toe to toe.

If odin's weapons chamber gets raided I wouldn't mind seeing the Eye of Agamotto being lifted as well, leading into Dr. Strange as the second movie in 2014

The quest idea sounds great to me

Yeah that would be awesome, I love how Odin's vault connects Thor's universe to several other Marvel characters.

I think Loki should play it right down the middle between good guy and bad guy for the rest of his run in MCU....maybe whenever the characters curtain call is he ultimately ends up being a hero and getting redeption....but we're a few movies away from that imo.

Can we kill off a member of the Warriors Three?

I think that would be a lot of people on a quest...to make the stakes high I wouldn't mind seeing them kill off a warrior or two...but I also am not quite as invested in the comics as other people might be so I don't know what they can or can't do

I wouldn't be happy with one of the Warrior's Three dying, I'm also sure we won't see Skurge and Amora "hanging out" with Thor & Co.

Considering on how powerful Surtur has been made out to be, I'm surprised that he hasn't made into an Avengers villain as well, more so than Thanos.

Surtur's had a few run-ins with the Avengers. During "Fire and Ice," he and Ymir were summoned to Earth and the Avengers had to fight both of them. And I'm pretty sure Surtur was part of the "Acts of Vengeance" where villains were paired up against heroes who weren't typically their archenemies.
