The Dark Knight What We Know So Far

Thats good thinking, but the parade is 100% sure Loeb's funeral. Also, I'm pretty sure that Randolph is supposed to be Gordon. At some point in the movie he fakes his own death and I think that this call has to do with that.

Okay, then who the hell is the Chief?

EXT. ROOFTOP -- NIGHT

The FIGURE LEAPS INTO THE NIGHT -

JAMES
Why's he running, Dad?

The Chief stares.
THE CHIEF
Because we have to chase him...

James look from the window to his father, confused.

JAMES He didn't do anything wrong!

THE CHIEF
It doesn't matter, son.

JAMES
Why, dad? Why?

How many Chiefs have sons named James?

That definitely is Gordon. Hmm, I was thinking that Randolph was Gordon as well, but maybe not. But it has certainly been confirmed that the funeral is for Loeb, so Idk.

it is for loeb for sure. i'll back you up on that. extras said loeb is mentioned by name by the mayor. and his picture is up on stage.

One slide has the Chief talking to the SWAT team, next to an empty school bus. We know sure as hell what the school bus was involved in. Maybe they're BS about Randolph's/Loeb's condition. I strongly believe that the police HQ at one stage is blown up. You confirmed it with a rumor that the Joker actually plans on getting arrested. They could say that Randolph is still alive when they know damn well he's dead. The whole "evening commissioner" thing, bang the police station goes up with most of the cops.

Maybe then Gordon fakes his death to go off the radar, then the army has to come in to take control of Gotham. OR this being a casting slide they have changed the language to stop giving too much away. I will agree that it is probably a funeral, the Joker is shown wearing a uniform with several bars to it. That means this person he stole it from is probably a career cop who not some rookie fresh from the Academy.

What are you backing up? That it Loeb's funeral or that Randolph is Loeb?

Wow, these are all great points. I guess we may never know until July.

I think the police station blowing up has to do with the goon who has the bomb in his stomach, and is Joker's escape plan from prison.

Agreed, that's why he was sterile, no ID, nothing in his pockets but knives and lint. :word:

A vigilante (one of the fake bat-men) is hung from a street light. (It hits the window while Dent is talking to the Mayor about his plan for 18 months crime free).

I don't remember hearing this one confirmed...is it 100% true?

Regardless though, just reading it and trying to visualize the scene sent a chill down my spine and made my stomach jolt with excitement. Imagine a calm scene with Harvey, talking about government crap and WHAM! Batman on noose smacks the window.

This will probably be the greatest film ever. :brucebat: LOL :woot:

It has been confirmed. It sounds like an awesome scene

Thanks bro. That sounds like an INCREDIBLE scene. I love how even the "minor" scenes in the movie are going to be amazing.

It's targeted assassinations, anyone in authority gets a bullet:

Mayor Garcia
Harvey Dent
Gillian Loeb
Batman
Mob figures

As the interview show the Joker believes in anarchy pure and simple, it isn't about the money. It's about whacking anyone in authority.

That's why he's in Wayne's house, he doesn't see Wayne as a threat but he considered Dent a target. Somehow Dent is able to escape/isn't there. He eventually turns Gotham into his own personal fiefdom, with the barges leaving, and only he, his goons and Bats remain to finish off the job. Joker is killed/defeated and the mob bosses go on trial. Maybe the Joker has a hand in the birth of Two-face, maybe the mob is just following his original plan.

Oh the irony, here's Dent promising 18 mths crime free and waxing lyrical when the body slams into the window. It doesn't even have to smash the glass it can just hang there.:woot: I love the card to, if it's true, "will the real batman please stand up?"

The card is true.

And yeah, it doesn't have to smash, even if it is just violently dropped into the view of the window, and perhaps Dent or someone tries to check the roof to see if the culprit aka the J-man is sticking around.

things that i don't know how to work in exactly:

the building explosion from england. don't know what that could be yet.

the "sausage link" stunt. there were a few rumors about what that could be. and there was even a rumor that it was actually practice for a stunt in hong kong that was scrapped. but i don't believe that. but it's possible.

Oh yeah, the Battersea Power Station. I forgot about that. Wonder what it could be.

The Power Station wasn't the hospital though, the Brach's Candy Factory in Chicago was.

Hey everyone. Im not really reading this thread cuz I dont want to many spoilers. BUT I found a tidbit of news today I wanted to pass along. I never heard anyone talk about them doing any TDK filming at WB Studio in Burbank, but today I took a VIP Tour there and my guide informed me that TDK DID sneak in one day unannounced to film Mayor Garcia in the "central park" esque area lawn giving some kind of speech for a tv commercial in the movie (hell, maybe a part of virals?) who knows. Thats all he knew. Not big news I know, but something previously unmentioned i think.

some things to work in.... (these are not in the right order... obviously)

*spoilers*

Joker threatens to kill all the people on Gotham's "A-list" unless he is given Batman on a silver platter. Dent claims to be Batman in order to save the A-listers. Because of this the Joker crashes a party at Wayne penthouse which Harvey is attending. Bruce is able to hide Harvey before Joker gets him. Joker then kidnaps Rachel.

Reese Attempts to Blackmail Fox in order to get Batman's identity.

After Joker's truck flips Joker is arrested by Gordon.

When Barbara is notified of Gordon's "death" she blames Batman.

Two-Face goes after Maroni. Moroni's driver is killed but Two-face's coin spares Maroni.

Ramirez calls Barbara and gives her Two-face's instructions

A vigilante (one of the fake bat-men) is hung from a street light. (It hits the window while Dent is talking to the Mayor about his plan for 18 months crime free).

....

Every point from my post is confirmed.

I don't know, but I think it could be the building shown exploding after joker says WSS in the trailer
