The Dark Knight What We Know So Far

Going by the pics we've seen of Mr. J, and holding with the notion that he NEVER reapplies the make-up, the movie may go like this:

Beginning:
Bank robbery(takes the mob's money)
Scarecrow and batfakes in parking garage.
Joker meets with the heads of the mob. They strike a deal "Kill the Batman"...."Ill give this town a criminal like they've never seen!"

Middle:
various scenes of Dent, rachel, bruce.batman tumbler is destroyed/suit.

Party scene, He threatens rachel
Chase scene with batpod
truck flipping over/standoff in the streets of gotham. Joker apprehended

Joker in holding cell with his goons.Batman beats the crap out of him.
Joker escapes (paint is washed/washing off his face while he is hanging out of the cop car in the trailer)

Assasination attempt(no make-up on, dressed as cop)
Barge threat with detonation of ferry.
Dent s scarred by mob(maybe working still for Joker)
Two Face's precense is now felt (bar scene, maroni dies in limo)

At least that's what I had in my head :)

It works except for I don't see him not re-applying the make up after pretending to be a cop. And there is also the nurse scene. He's gotta have Joker make-up on in the final battle, and that would be after pretending to be a cop, so at some point he has to re-apply the make-up even if we don't see him do it.

Yeah, I agree with you. He's gonna have to re-apply it.

if he does reapply, we havent seen any shots that take place after the "joker cop undercover make-up less scene"

his make up is pretty consistent: as the movie progresses, its gets more and more beat up/smeared. That's why i assume its truck flip, he gets caught, interrogation room/batman beats him up, he flees in cop car -his make-up is really very thin here (almost washed off), then reappears in the crowd sans make-up to get close and kill the mayor.

Of course the main plot point that happens after this is the barges with the bombs....

Dont forget, the info that Gary has said,

He is part of the big finale with two face,

wat do you think batman does for the joker to say "youve changed things. theres no going back, see to them your just a freak like me." it has to be something that changes the way gotham views batman, maybe they think he killed someone, maybe he does kill someone, opinions?

No, I believe the Joker is just talking about the existence of Batman in general, because after Batman took matters into his own hands and started handing mob bosses to the police, suddenly the lawyers and cops were not afraid to go after the criminals...and so the balance of power changed in the city.

Makes me laugh though, it's like the cops got upstaged by Batman doing the dirty work and wanted to prove they were just as tough and mocho, so they actually started doing their job... lol

The reason Joker says there is no going back is because he is referring to the escalation theme. The criminals get crazier and more "themed" because there are now renegade law-men like Batman and Gordon against them who are breaking the rules to hunt them down, so the criminals are getting more ruthless as a result.

Thats the theory of the plot anyway, between BB and TDK.

I just looked on google images to find out what a barge was, their freaking huge.

I'm betting that the above dialogue doesn't actually appear in the movie and is only used for promotion (much like Bruce's monologue in the Batman Begins teaser):ikyn

me thinks he says this to harvey dent after he becomes two face and commits some atrocious acts...

all plausible ideas but i for some reason i think he says it to batman

I always assumed he was saying it to Batman during the interrogation scene.

I hope that's not the case, it would make a great moment between Batman and the Joker, especially if it does take place during the interrogation scene.

Take away the music background and "you changed things...." is too long and drawn out. It sounds more like a speech than actual dialogue and i can't imagine what lines would be necessary to set it up.:ikyn

Probably is an interrogation room speech, has similar reverb to "you'll see, i'll show ya"

I think the point of Joker's terrorism is to undermine the symbol of Batman more than anything. So it's Joker teasing him after the city's turned against him

It's drawn out for the sake of effect with the mix of music and imagery. I'm sure it wouldn't have nearly the amount of space between phrases as it does in the trailer.

For example - we now know that the "This city needs a new class of criminal; and I'm gonna give it to 'em" line, which was played as part of the "You'll see - I'll show ya" line in Trailer #3, is actually being said during the burning money scene in front of the Chechen leader.

You can't assume anything from a trailer when it's as ambiguous as the "You've changed things..." dialogue.

I guarantee "You've changed things..." is in the actual movie during the interrogation scene. It just makes way too much... Not including it would be incredibly stupid, IMO, because it's awesome stuff, too.
