The Dark Knight What We Know So Far

Yes, I hope that's the case with the Manor and Cave, too, Bayou.

Welcome to the hype, too!

Weren't they filimg in London where the Manor is?

They did film in London. In fact, most of the Narrows shoot and part of the barge scene was filmed there. They weren't there very long, and there were no reports of them filming on location for Wayne Manor. We know for a fact that Bruce is living in the penthouse and keeps his equipment in a garage due to the Manor and batcave being rebuilt. There is no confirmation of any kind, or even any viable rumors of the manor or batcave making an appearence in the movie; however, I think I speak for most fans when I say it would be cool to see the newly rebuilt manor and/or Batcave near the end of the movie.

Does this man look happy? Who started the fire? I reckon Dent and Bats like in TLH.

i've said this time and time again: there's no way nolan would give away pivotal plot points in a trailer. i really doubt rachel will die from the joker throwing her off a building. it's a horrible, yet easy, way to get rid of that character. also dent's face in that chemical probably isn't how he's scarred. why have maroni and his goon in the movie if they aren't the one's scarring dent?

its all speculation right now. i doubt anyone knows unless they are part of teh production. you can't claim that we know for a fact that these two events will occur nor that they will occur in those ways.

edit: i'm not knocking anyone's imagination of how they think it will be; i'm just saying we can't claim fact based on imagination.

Also during Eric Roberts interview he states
he get's killed by Two face. So he must have done something to seriosuly piss him off? Maybe Maroni is the one who ties him up and shoves him in a fire and the court room scene never happens?

Doubt it, I think itll just be the way the coin lands.

The joker does kill rachel, He then puts on the nurses costume to visit dent in hosiptal, Dent then finds out what he's done. To top things of joker then blows up the hosiptal, Theres a great shot where joker walks out of the hospital (blowing up around him) in a nurses uniform.

I'm presuming the above post is speculation, the use of 'does' in thie context worries me :p

This is a spoiler thread isnt it? Why does it worry you? Are we spoiling or speculating?

I just want to see a nod at the end of TDK to seeing how the Manor and Cave are coming out ala the line at the end of Begins about improving the cave, they GOTTA show us something about it, I mean we want to see the cave for sure.

Alfred: 'The manor is rebuilt, brick for brick, Master Bruce. The improvements in the south east (west? I can't remember) corner are finished also.'
Bruce (half-smiling): 'Let's go home, Alfred.'
Even that, in one of the final scenes, will do.

Final scene:
Gordon: 'Another gangster family wiped out last night, Batman. And our forensic team found this at the scene.'
(passes object to Batman)
Batman (holding up coin, turns it to reveal scarred side): 'Harvey. You're still out there.'
Gordon: 'We have to bring him in. He's gone over the edge'
Batman: 'I can still reach him, Jim. I still believe in Harvey Dent.'

Fade to black.

In my dreams, of course.

I love your idea about the manor, but I rather have the "Joker card" moment be more subtle this time.

It would be nice to have Batman and Gordon talking on the roof again, and once more, talking about Gotham. Then he says they've been having some burglaries in fine-jewelry, and we see a black cat in the background walk across the roof.

I don't want the camera to be centered on the cat, but just have a cat walk across when Gordon mentions it, and if you notice it, then you notice it. I don't want another "in your face" example of who/what is going to be the next villain. Like I said, I want it to be subtle. :cwink:

Gordon: 'There's been a series of jewel robberies....'
Batman: 'Stop right there, Jim. The Joker has killed the Mayor, Commisioner Loeb, Rachel Dawes, blown up a hospital and two barges, and while we now have him locked up, the DA has been scarred and gone nuts, killing all the gangsters around, and is still missing. And with all that going on, you want me to track down a jewel thief? Shove it up your a$$, Jim.'
Gordon:'... I was only asking.'
Batman: 'And you never will again.'

Seriously, though, I feel that Two-Face is obviously going to be the bad guy in part III, so it doesn't have to be a subtle allusion. IMO.

Do we know where Harvey's revenge scene comes in? Is it the Joker/Dent/Batman/Gordon finale and then Harvey's little scene, or the other way round?

I think it's a little before the end.
Sorry, how do we know there's a Joker/Dent/Batman/Gordon finale?

Omit the now cinematically dead (:oldrazz:) "Let's go home" line and that's full of win.:yay:

The courtroom scene definitely happens. This has been confirmed to me by more than one source.

that sounds amazing, I would love for it to end like that!!

please let it be true !

Please God, please !!

:p:p:p:p:p:p:p

The deviation from the comics is the it is
probably Al Rossi, not Maroni, who throws the acid, even though it is Maroni's trial.
